Great city, fabulous buildings and sights. We took a boat trip on the Seine (hop on-off Batobus) which was a good way to see the Eiffel Tower and to get to other attractions. Public transport is good with the Navigo fare system (use the card, not your phone - the app can be unreliable). The Les Puces flea market at Clignancourt is a must, hundreds of small antique stalls , as well as the usual knock-off tat. We have been to Paris often, this trip was a one night stop over on our way up from the south of France and back to London. We stopped to visit Notre Dame now open again. In 24 hours we had time to visit two of our favourite restaurants - one near the Canal St Martin for dinner and the other for lunch in St Germain. Paris is a vibrant and historically fascinating city. There is so much of see, so many museums and art galleries! I would advise booking for the Louvre and the Orsay museum. The Louvre was really packed and the que for admission long. One of my favorite activities was a river cruise down the river Siene, and using the Big Red Bus to get around made sight seeing very enjoyable.
