Le grau du roi is a beautiful compact fishing port. It is located along a bar and cafe canal like estuary. The good: Flamingos! Miles of beaches. Great places to go walking. Amigoland, though expensive, is fun for kids of all ages - even those in their forties. You can rent motorboats and jetskis in town. For connections, its not far from Montpellier or Marseille. The bad: Restaurants are poor in LGdR. From French to Italian to Asian they all disappointed. I am used to staying in 5 star hotels and whilst I knew this was far from 5 stars, I was disappointed to find plastic sheets on the beds. A very pleasant Meditteranean resort, plus the inhabitants are friendly and welcoming. Access and parking are easy. Not sure about the food. It's good, if not inspiring.
