The place is amazing! The staff is lovely and caring. Cool beaches and a beautiful hike. Stunning sunrises and sunsets. The diving experiences were fabulous: amazing reefs, lots of colour and abundant life, and the guides were great! Great conservation project! Don’t miss the chance to chat with the team and join the talk at the Marine Science Center. Definitely going back!

What a wonderful and memorable stay in a traditional Fijian village. We liked it so much that we ended up staying in Soso village for a month. Silo, Bill, Va, Rob, Simi, Luisa and Iki, we will never forget the great time we had with you. You took good care of us, prepared extra food for the children and helped us when they got sick. As for the village. The people are very friendly, with a lot of children, so our kids made friends instantly. The beach in front of the village is beautiful, with a nice healthy reef to snorkel and there are some nice hikes with spectacular views over all of the Tasawas. As there is no light pollution, stargazing is breathtaking and the manta ray passage is just around the corner. The accommodation is very basic with a bucket shower and no-flush-toilet, but the beds are comfortable and the food is great. Note that the water available is rain water, so if you want to go safe, bring your own bottled water (or aqua-tabs) from the mainland because there are no real shops on the island. Also, you should wear a Sulu (Sarong) around the village and in church, men too. And it’s expected that you bring a kava root (worth 20 FJ$) and/or some money to present to the chief of the village when you arrive.

Staying at Tai Evi Homestay in Soso Village was an unforgettable experience filled with warmth and community. The village, with around 600 people and 90 children attending the local school, welcomed us with open arms. Everywhere we walked, we would hear "Bula" being called out to us from peoples homes and yards. On the evening of our arrival, we met with the chief and brought offerings to get his blessing for our stay. Silo, Bill, Va, Rovini, Ike, Peter, and Loochi—made us feel like family. We enjoyed safe snorkeling in the vibrant coral reefs just off the beach, and the boat ride to the village while short, was filled with stunning views. The money spent for our two-night stay, felt like a small price for the rich cultural experience and genuine connections we made. The food prepared by Va was delicious, the bathroom, shower, and accommodations were clean, and we even had a power bar to recharge our devices during the day. We brought water with us, but were pleased to find out they had filtered water for us too if needed. If you're looking for adventure and a genuine experience, you have found your homestay! We wished we could stay longer, and hope to be back again! Current cost breakdown: 1. Accommodation: $96 FJD for 2 nights (booked via Booking.com). 2. Chief Offering: $25 FJD for kava (if needed to purchase in the village otherwise buy in Nadi) + $10 FJD per person for the ceremony, which goes to helping the village. 3. Boat Ride: $35 FJD for a one-way boat ride for the both of us (20-30 minutes). 4. Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner: $50fjd per person/day 5. Reasonably priced activities which include snorkeling/picnic, fishing, manta ray snorkeling (when in season and they are around), school visit, weaving etc.

The most amazing tropical island you can think off, welcoming family (Emily, Seru and team were amazing!), nice bonfires, and always kind guests to chat with! We had an amazing time ar Wai Makare! Just be mindful, if you want a luxurious resort with constant internet and electricity and warm water for your shower, this might not be the place for you. However, if you want to enjoy the real Fiji, its Beauty and its kind people… this is the place for you!

Stunning location, beautiful coral reef for snorkeling in front of the resort, the room has comfortable bed, the food was really great, and staff are welcoming. There were always some activities going on - free & paid, we also enjoyed the walk around the island to the other side - "sunset beach". Particularly I would like to highlight the restaurant area with almost 360 views. We really enjoyed our stay and definitely will be back.

The location, food, staff, and facilities were all amazing! It was nice being able to order your meal from a menu rather than relying on a buffet. It's a small resort (I believe only 4 rooms were open during our stay) so depending on the length of your visit you become quite familiar with the staff - all of which were brilliant! There is a range of both free and paid activities on offer, as well as kayaks and snorkels available for use free of charge. We had some pretty terrible weather during our stay but were still able to get out for a snorkel (which was very good) between downpours, and the activities guys were always more than happy to take us out to some great snorkeling spots for free. Drinks were reasonably priced from the restaurant, and there is a small selection of snacks and general items available for purchase from the office. Wi-Fi works well at the restaurant but operates off the cellular network so may have periods where it drops out during inclement weather. There are some massive mango trees throughout the resort that produce the most delicious mangos I've ever eaten, highly recommend! Overall, a fantastic experience and would not hesitate to recommend to others or to stay again in the future.

- The food is beyond exceptional, there wasn’t single meal that we had that wasn’t amazing. Everything from curry’s, stir fry’s to roast dinners every dish was delicious the kitchen team are outstanding - Jodie the scuba instructor was brilliant, she was knowledgable and infinitely patient, reassuring us every step of the way. We had a really good time doing the ‘discover scuba’ trip - We stayed in a bungalow which was much more spacious than the accommodation we stayed in on the other islands and more importantly had air conditioning
