I loved this place. I had had a terrible night's sleep the night before so really needed to sleep well. And I really did. The room was huge and very comfortable. Breakfast was included too, so it was more like paying 70 euros instead of 80. Utterly safe area, not least because the police station is next door! Nice 2 minute walk into the historic centre of Aguilar. The only thing I would recommend is that the morning staff learn a bit about places to recommend, within a 50km radius. Or just admit that they don't know, which would have been fine. It was recommended to me to stop for lunch in Barakaldo, rough suburb of Bilbao!

Wonderful hosts. introduced us to their family and when we mentioned we were going on to Santander the next day, they insisted on driving us to show us a short cut to the motorway. Undoubtedly saved us over half an hour on our journey. Room was clean and comfortable. We would certainly recommend.

The host meet us on our arrival and were very helpful. The apartment was well equipped and beautifully clean. Easy parking nearby. Nice dog walks nearby. Only a few minutes walk to some nice bars and places to eat.

    It’s a small village just off the main Auto route about 5 minutes Only about 20 people live in the village so it’s very quiet and relaxing as the accommodation is No restaurant in the village but Agiar De Campo heading south has restaurants. We ate in Hotel Valentin in the centre about 8/10 minutes drive going South towards Palencia direction. Set menu 15 euros choice of starters mains and desserts plus bottle of wine water coffee. Not Michelin but rustic tasty Spanish food. We enjoyed it
