I was completely surprised by this rather special out of the way place . The receptionist was so welcoming and allowed me to change my room to one with more sunlight ( I ‘d arrived early after a long Camino walk) so that could enjoy resting in the warmth . She then brought me generous refreshments in the garden . Breakfast was very good. This is a simple but very hospitable place- just a few rooms, but perfect for the last night before walking into Santiago de Compostela.The big hotels could learn a lot from these little places about hospitality . It sounds a bit ominous going down to the restaurant next to a petrol station for dinner but this worked well- and I loved walking in orchard on the farm where this gem of a hotel is located.     We just spent one night in Padron and were fortunate to be there during the Pascua de Padron. Aside from the must-see sights, we were also able to immerse ourselves with the Padron townsfolk during the festive celebration of the Pascua de Padron. Must see sights are the Convento del Carmen which will give one a good hilltop view of Padron. Should also visit the Iglesia de Santiago where you will find the "Pedron" or mooring stone, believed to be stone where the boat carrying the remains of St James (Santiago) was tied to.

    We were walking the Camino and this hotel was quite near the Way. It was clean, modern, had a nice garden. Breakfast wasn't available, but would be during the summer. Centrally located so we were able to see all the St. James sights in town after resting up. Staff recommended one of the best restaurants we ate in on our trip! Thank you.

    I'm sad to say that it was raining so hard the night we were...

    I'm sad to say that it was raining so hard the night we were there that we missed all that Padron has to offer. We only visited a local supermarket for some supplies. I hope to make it back someday to explore! I will definitely stay at the Albergue O Pedron Hostel & Rooms again. That place was outstanding.

    Very comfortable and super clean!

    Very comfortable and super clean! The couch was made as a bed for our daughter. Yummy muffins and coffee for breakfast. Huge terrace! Nice assortment of brochures/ local information and recommendations. Very residential area, enjoyed dining out with locals rather than tourists. Can walk downtown and to Camino de Santiago.

    It's a nice town with slightly different vibe to the others on the Camino, quite chilled and relaxed. Probably a good place for a rest day as the trails beforehand leave you quite dirty (in poor weather). Probably lots of history here also but didn't get time to explore. I ate at the Camino Portuguese which is a cafe bar/diner. There was fine dining in the town but that doesn always sit well with hiking the next day. Easy to get around on foot, better with a bike.

    Padron is a small and charming town with real character.

    Padron is a small and charming town with real character. The tree lined strip by the river is gorgeous, there are beautiful old churches and best of all, a decent selection of very very good restaurants. I stayed as part of the Camino and it was one of my favourite stops. There is a really nice buzz yet relaxed feel to the place.

    Great location near the old town and lots of restaurants and bars/cafes. This is an older hotel with "old world charm" decor - room was comfy and perfectly sized for two of us and our backpacks. Bathroom was a bit small but great powered and hot shower. Restaurant downstairs serves good food (although a little more expensive than some of the otherplaces nearby). Recommended!

    The Villa Galicia was very nice and quiet. However, the big drawback is that it was very hard to find because there were no signs for the hotel on the street in which the hotel is located and so I have given it a slightly lower rating that it would otherwise deserve. Apart from that, the hotel itself was nice and comfortable, particularly the garden.

    Reception staff very good and helpful, moved me to a room in the hotel as the rooms were on the noisy plaza. The room and bathroom are very large, bed was very comfortable. A fridge was included but the kettle didn’t work. Good breakfast.
