Love, love, love this hotel. Beautiful interior design, gorgeous views of the bay and terrific sunsets from the balcony. Delicious, relaxing breakfast al fresco. Zero issues with overcrowding or flow of people around the breakfast buffet. Delicious food served poolside and in the restaurant. Lovely spa and gym. Fabulous roof top pool for families and a stunning adult only infinity pool on the upper level. Plenty of sun loungers on various levels. Love the complimentary drinks vouchers upon arrival, the beach bag with flip flops, complimentary mini bar and daily treats. A superb place to relax & unwind. We had to amend our holiday last minute as our daughter had to undergo emergency surgery. The hotel was so understanding and flexible. Amazing service. This is why we will continue to return. The Esplendido has maintained its high standards for many years.

New and very clean. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. Nice terrace with a beautiful view. Well located in the center of the village. The front room may be a bit noisy in summer as it is on the main Street. Friendly host.

    The Orient valley is stunningly beautiful and, at the time...

    The Orient valley is stunningly beautiful and, at the time of our visit in late March, a bright lush green. It was so tranquil with very few people around except for Sunday. Low numbers of cars passing through but loads of cyclists so lots of patience and slow driving needed. Very remote - 20 mins to Alaro, more to Bunyola, hairpin bends in both directions and steep gradients on the Bunyola road. We went there for walking and found the walk from Orient to the Castell d’Alaro very enjoyable and rewarding with stunning views of both the mountains and towards Palma. However, we found the number and choice of other walks quite restrictive for moderate walks of 4-5 hours or so and Spain doesn’t have the footpaths accessibility of the UK. Walking times on footpath signs were always considerably less than our actual times (we are a moderately fit couple in our early sixties).

    L'Hermitage, a beautiful building, within 2km. of pretty Orient village. If hiking/walking there is no need for a car. A bicycle would be useful (especially an eBike), which can be rented in Alora. The narrow roads are very busy with "real" cyclists. You are c. 45 minutes by car/taxi from Palma airport.

    The road from Alaro to Orient is very steep and winding.

    The road from Alaro to Orient is very steep and winding. It is important to take great care especially as it is a popular route for cyclists. The route from Bunyola to Orient is even narrower and winding. Not to be considered for night driving. Nearest beach is about 50 mins away.

    Very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Petra and Patrick the owner/operators were lovely & a highlight of the stay, the breakfast was delicious & we had dinner one night at the restaurant (steak that they aged onsite). Orient is a beautiful wee village and so peaceful, perfect to rest and recharge.

    The accommodation was comfortable and quiet, very peaceful location. Loved it for our short break. It’s quite rural and isolated (which we knew and which makes it quiet and peaceful) so eating at the hotel for dinner is the best choice, unless you want to drive. The hotel offers half board.

    We had the most wonderful stay at this hotel. Patrick and Petra and all the staff were super welcoming and it had a very home from home feel. The setting is very special and we loved dining in the hotel courtyard. The food was delicious. We would love to return one day.

    The hotel feels calming and special as soon as you arrive. Our room was unexpectedly spacious and beautifully appointed. I was sick with food poisoning from another restaurant and the staff were very helpful
