We arrived on our bicycles having cycled over the mountain in a downpour and were soaking wet. The lovely manager lit a fire in the bar, provided a warming drink and didn't mind us dripping all over the floor. Nothing was too much bother. Beautiful hotel in a lovely town.

The peaceful location. The good food and the friendly and helpful staff. We just loved our stay here {the third time this year} and hopefully we will be back next year on our way to or from the ferry at Santander or Bilbao down to the Costa Blanca area.

I arrived here during a 2700km bicycle race from Bolzano to Bilbao. The owner could not have been more welcoming or understanding of my needs. Immediate refreshment and told not to worry about where my bike would stay etc. Just relax and his son would take care of it. Dinner was served at nine and was an absolute perfect rendition of some Spanish classics - grilled asparagus, bacalao and flan de huevos. The room was perfect - clean, comfortable and with excellent facilities. This hostal is an absolute gem and I will one day make sure to visit again, when I've more time to explore Anguiano and its surroundings.

Property was exactly as previous investigation of reviews. Very popular with local Spainaids which speaks for itself, best to book in advance to get booking. If fortunate to visit Basque Spain again, this property I will return. If your looking for a remote village of about 10 houses, good Basque food, mountain, country, village environment, this is the place. Bus ride to accommodation if choosing one sees a number of little villages built in side of cliff. Make sure to organise taxi from nearest village as bus stop 4kms from property or maybe contact Management in Spainish, maybe able to collect you from bus stop.
