Beautiful location, excellent cheap municipal car park but gets busy early evening, lots of restaurants, people helpful and friendly, great views of the Med, supermarkets well stocked. Mijas is a lovely town with much to offer.
Mijas is a lovely town with much to offer. It is well served by a number of bus routes. There are a good range of shops and restaurants. If walking is your thing, there are a number of walking trails to the north of the village. The routes are marked, the paths are rocky and loose, so good ankle support would be a recommendation, as would walking poles. Fuengirola is 3 miles down the hill on the coast. It was a stunning hotel with so much Spanish charm. My hotel room overlooked the mountains with Mijas pueblo it was magical. The dinner was exquisite. The breakfast was wonderful. The staff were kind, and helpful. I will be returning 100%. I informed the hotel receptionist that this was by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at and should be rated a 5 star.
