Breakfast was excellent. Staff were very helpful. Everything was spotless with great attention to detail including the garage! Very comfy bed. A few minutes walk to the centre of Santillana del mar. A few minutes drive to see the impressive caves of Altamira. Used it as a base to visit different areas of Cantabria.

Gustavo and his wife and daughter showed themselves to be warm and compassionate hosts on a very rainy night when my wife and i arrived cold and soaked to the skin after two hours walking in miserable rain. Even though the restaurant was closed, they opened up the kitchen specially and cooked us a delicious hot meal. We will be forever grateful for their kindness. We recommend Finca Alcamino for anyone wanting warmth and comfort on their pilgrimmage!

A beautiful house owned by wonderful people. The location was perfect for Santander, close to the main roads but still peaceful. The room was lovely, old and creaky in the best way. Having shutters to open was a treat. Breakfast was perfect. The owners are so helpful but quietly in the background, allowing you to enjoy the house as if it were you own.

    This is a lovely little hotel which is far better than its pictures! It is so clean that it is actually shiny. The host is very kind, beds very comfortable. The hottest and strongest showers we have had since on the Camino. There is a nice little bad just around the corner for an evening drink.
