Enjoyed exploring the streets and eating at the many restaurants. The mar menor lovely for swimming. It was Holy Week and lots of activities going on around which were lovely to see. Took taxi to Cartagena and there was a massive parade which we were lucky to see on the Sunday. Stopped at the 43 experience on way back which was interesting and worth doing. Love Los Alcazares and been holidaying there twice a year for 22 years Great authentic Spanish food in Old Town and the usual British bars and eateries in the newer part. So something for everyone. Access to golf and water sports in surrounding area. The star of the show is the Mar Menor. We stayed in old town which is typical Spanish, open all year round, an array of bars and quality restaurants, ample supermarkets, petrol stations and shops. The beach is spotless and has gorgeous views across mar menor Lovely walk along the promenade around 25 minutes and you reach the 525 “strip” which has a more tourist feel to it.Guest review bygillianUnited Kingdom
