This beautiful, friendly small Hotel, formerly a schoolhouse has been lovingly restored and fitted out as a small Hotel by the wonderful Alex. The area is of special beauty and has a feeling of safety and security rarely found these days. The breakfast was perfect, It was a continental style using local fresh ingredients. If Alex was not there Raul was there also to make sure all was perfect. We also got great advice in respect of the best locations to photograph in this stunningly beautiful area. We stayed in the suite on the west-facing side. The views from the balcony were absolutely dreamy. The bed was super comfy, the room quite spacious. Loved it!

The room was very nice, with a beautiful view and a big, comfortable bed. The area was extraordinary, quiet and fresh. The breakfast was delicious, and Sonja, who prepared the breakfast was very friendly and service-minded. We were very pleased with getting a code for the front-door and the door to our room, that made it OK to check in when we arrived, independent of any staff available. A perfect solution.

The check-in went quickly. We were welcomed by the owners, who explained to us about the house, restaurants, and things to do in the area. The room was very clean and comfortable. There is plenty of parking available directly in front of the property. For breakfast, there were enough options: it was really good! I can highly recommend this place! Thank you Petra and Manuel for being such great hosts!

Loved this place. I was there in winter but blessed with beautiful sunny days for hiking on trails with few people. Espasante itself is a beautiful town with a port on one side and lovely beaches on the other. The hotel has been a family run business for generations and it shows in the care they take. The mum is also a keen walker and gave me advice on how to make the most of the great hiking in the area from O Baqueiro back to Espasante and then from Carino to Cape Ortegal and San Andreas de Texeira. Highly recommend both hikes. My hosts gave me directions to take for buses and arranged for Feliciano (local taxi driver) to pick me up at the trail end. Feliciano I can also recommend. Really nice and insisted on a side trip on the way back to see the view from Mirador de Miranda. Magnificent 360 views. The son and daughter run the business during the day and both are really nice, fluent english speakers (which helped a lot given my limited Spanish). I understand they are very busy during the summer but my winter visit was fabulous. The room was simple but clean and warm. No complaints.

    We were just passing through - the area looked very interesting - we would love to go back - the coast with its steep cliffs looked stunning - when we were there it was calm but with a bit of wind the waves crashing against the rocks could create excellent photographs
