A hidden gem - that does not get too busy... so if you want to explore the island and have a more slow approach to Mallorca, it is perfect. Canyamel is a lovely village . But does not have the usual amount of shops and restaurants found in other resorts . Small town with a couple of hotels and holiday apartments. There is a small supermarket, a few “holiday” shops, à pharmacie and a doctor. The beach is small but not overcrowded. The place is not a town like it use to be, there are only hotels ans turistic apartments. The green area is almost gone like in all the other mallorcan beaches but there are a few excursions to go into the moluntain like the way to a small tower up the mountain.
