We were a bit hasty purchasing the Hola Barcelona bus pass. If you like walking all the attractions are within walking distance. The city is on a grid so easy to navigate. The people are very friendly and very helpful. It is a wonderful city and worth a visit. For families with young children, the Aquarium is a must. The boat tours are great value for money. The city of Barcelona is great. So much shopping. Great little bars and restaurants to visit. Time out Barcelona is awesome. Las Ramblas is great. La Sagrada de Familia is a must see. The metro is very easy to figure out and get around with. First timers please only do a few sights and do them well .. unless you are staying for a week+ .. My spouse 1st trip 2 Barcelona; primarily to view La Sagrada Familia; shopping along Rambas; La Sagrada. Has progressed since my last visit 30 years ago. Visit in afternoon early evening 4 sunlight through stain glass; dining three blocks up diagonal Gaudi street away from crowds.
