This is a a true gem, a Jewel by the Nile. It's a bit harder to get to the West Bank when you have arrived on the East Bank. This place is worth that trip. The area feels a bit rural so when you arrive it's an oasis that unfolds. They have their own organic garden, which the staff will be happy to show you. Amazing restaurant in the patio, and service. Amazing personnel. All of them. High comfort. Attention to details. You will hear birds and some honking from boats on the Nile (instead of traffic on the East Bank). The manager Said will organise your private guide to all Luxor sights. The dialogue was so nice with them all, so I even told Said I would give him and his team a 10 rating. Good wifi in all areas is another plus.

The hotel is very convenient to visiting Luxor, it is in great location on a quiet street. It is on the West bank of the Nile, very close to the main attractions, but East bank is also accessible easily by the ferry. Our room was very comfortable, staff very friendly and we had amazing food both for breakfast and dinner. I would recommend.

Luxor sites are great must see for travelers who loves ancient Egyptian sites. Many beautiful experiences. But unless you've got the a full time tour/handler, be prepared for the endless stream of people looking to siphon some of your pocket and time. We're 'do it yourself' kind of travelers and did so without serious issue; It takes street smarts and awareness. People generally are kind and warm and Luxor has a lot to offer. A driver/guide is essential for the West Bank sites though, many things to navigate and difficult without someone versed in the area and processes.

I really enjoyed seeing various monuments and then relaxing at my hotel. Most of the monuments are very close to where you'd be staying - which is really pleasant. There are several very reasonable tour operators and always lots of availability, during the off season. I recommend going between June - December, as there's more availability and it's not crowded.

If I have to go back to Luxor ever again - I would pick a Hotel with a view and good food, and outside of the city centre (avoid Luxor Temple/Souk areas). Honestly, if I had to do it again, I would just leave the hotel with a private driver and guide (and air conditioner) to visit all the temples and tombs, and the Hassan Fathy (architect) house, mosque and neighbourhood. Buy nothing and do nothing in the city centre. I loved all the Temples and Tombs visited, definitely worth while and amazing architecture (Karnak will be forever in my memory), but had a terrible experience with the city itself due to the excessive aggression to tourists in the centre. The Western side of Luxor seemed a bit calmer and more genuine. The city is experienced with a constant aggression by people trying to sell you things. It is overwhelming. To the point that it made me averse to it. The souk was full of fake/low quality items and the same applies to the alabaster factories & perfume shops the guides try to take you due to their commissions' revenue. There are just too many scams and everything was outrageously overpriced. I bought all I wanted and needed in Cairo.

A guided tour to the Valley of Kings and Queens is a must.

A guided tour to the Valley of Kings and Queens is a must. Also the temples of Luxor and Karnak are worth visiting. Easy to get around by taxi (haggling a must), but Uber was not reliable (one guy turned up with our booking on his phone but in a different car and wanting to be paid again!). Some locals looking for custom were a bit pushy at the temples- be prepared to ignore and walk on. Overall an amazing city full of historic sights.

I booked a 7-hour tour with guide and that was enough time to see the Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, Valley of the Kings, and Hatshepsut Temple. I guess I could have taken a river cruise or done a hot air balloon ride the next day, but one day/2nights was plenty for me! Maybe if it hadn't been 100 F I would have wanted to stay longer!

We had a really nice stay at this hotel in Luxor. We met the owner Elnouby and his brother, who were both incredibly kind and attentive throughout our visit. They helped us arrange all the transportation we needed, which made getting around super easy and stress-free. We also got to enjoy a delicious Egyptian breakfast, with traditional local dishes that gave us a great start to the day. Their hospitality truly made us feel welcome.

This was the best hotel we stayed at during our trip to Egypt. The hotel and room were spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and the hotel taxi company were really useful. The pool was pure bliss. The staff in reception, in the restaurants and by the pool were so kind and friendly! We recommend booking a room with a River Nile view. We stayed 2 nights and could have happily stayed longer!

Everything: friendly, efficient and well educated staff; beautiful hotel with a terrace where you can enjoy the wonderful view of Luxor Temple (you can eat your meals there, the restaurant is quite cheap and above all very good); perfect location near main attractions; clean and beautiful room, certainly above average egyptian standard).
