Exceptional Stay — 5/5 Stars! From the moment I arrived, I knew this hotel was something special. The attention to detail, warmth of the staff, and overall ambiance exceeded all my expectations. Service: The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Every interaction was met with a smile, and they were always ready to assist with any request, big or small. It felt like they genuinely cared about making my stay unforgettable. Cleanliness: Impeccable! Every space — from the lobby to the room — was spotless. The fresh scent and perfectly arranged rooms made it feel like I was the first guest to ever stay there. Dining: The food was a culinary masterpiece. Each dish was a work of art, bursting with flavor. Breakfasts were delightful, with a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options. Comfort: The room was a sanctuary. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, and the modern amenities made everything feel luxurious. The view from the window was breathtaking and a perfect way to start the day. Location: Perfectly situated for both relaxation and exploration. Everything I needed was either within walking distance or a short ride away. I can honestly say this was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. If you're looking for a blend of luxury, comfort, and world-class service, this is the place to be. I’ll definitely be back! Highly recommended! 10/10!

FAQs about hotels in Cairo

Resting Place of Pharaohs

Born of an ancient civilisation, Cairo is a vast metropolis centred around the Nile. Its sheer scale can feel overwhelming (especially when flying over it into Cairo Airport), so plan ahead. An obvious starting point are the Giza Pyramids. Although the pharaohs are long gone, the grandeur of their burial pyramids, the Sphinx and Solar Boat are testament to their ambition.

The city’s Egyptian Museum houses a dazzling display of ancient Egyptian artefacts, including finds from Tutankhamun’s tomb in Luxor. Around the corner is Tahrir, a huge square and focal point of the 2011 Egyptian Revolution.

East is Islamic Cairo, home to 9th-century Ibn Tulun Mosque, Al-Azhar Mosque (site of the world’s oldest university), and the Khan el-Khalili souk – remember to haggle. The Citadel, with its elegant Mohammed Ali Pasha Mosque, sits on a hill offering far-reaching city views.

If you want to step out of cultural tours, take a Nile cruise by felucca, spot wildlife in Wadi Digla desert park or visit Egypt’s top theme parks: Dream Park and Magic Land, where you can tour Egyptian TV studios.

Before heading to your Cairo accommodation, sample the local cuisine – the falafel and fuul (bean paste) are delicious. Turkish coffee is a staple and there are hundreds of shisha bars, while major Cairo hotels have bars serving alcohol.

My recent trip to Cairo was nothing short of unforgettable.

My recent trip to Cairo was nothing short of unforgettable. The city is a fascinating mix of ancient history and modern chaos, where every street feels alive with energy. Cairo has a unique rhythm—bustling traffic, the constant call to prayer, and the warmth of its people all blend into an atmosphere that feels both overwhelming and enchanting at the same time. Of course, no trip to Cairo would be complete without seeing the Pyramids of Giza. Standing before these colossal structures was surreal—no photograph can truly capture their scale or the sense of wonder they inspire. A highlight of my visit was also taking a Nile cruise at sunset. Drifting along the river with the city lights glowing on the banks offered a calmer, more romantic side of Cairo that beautifully contrasted with the daytime buzz. The markets, particularly Khan el-Khalili, were an adventure on their own. The maze of stalls, filled with spices, jewelry, and traditional crafts, gave me a real taste of Cairo’s cultural heartbeat. Bargaining with shopkeepers was part of the fun, and I left with not just souvenirs, but memories of conversations and laughter. Cairo is not a quiet city, but that’s exactly its charm—it’s raw, vibrant, and unapologetically alive. Between the ancient wonders, the Nile’s serenity, and the sensory overload of the markets, my time there was an experience I’ll always treasure.

Despite the majority of 'tourist areas' often being heavily congested - Cairo has ample space and things for people of all ages to see and enjoy. From the pyramids, to Sphinx, Museums, parks and Cairo tower - to sampling pigeon, Cairo has it all, and more!! Highly recommend Cairo for a weekend / long weekend / week getaway where you can indulge in anything and everything from luxury boutique hotels, day trips, dessert safari, Nile cruises, or relax and unwind whilst enjoying some fine dining, local cuisine and soaking up the sunshine. Local hospitality is amongst some of the best I've experienced around the world and one of the many reasons I will continue returning to Egypt!

Pyramids were great, and GEM. citadel too.

Pyramids were great, and GEM. citadel too. Cairo as such only so-so but worth a visit. People are friendly but always trying to get money from you, turist prices. Perhaps fair enough, considering gap in wealth. Be prepared for stomac flue, almost impossible to avoid if you normally live in Europe/US. Felt safe all the time.

Overall, it was a great experience.

Overall, it was a great experience. I would advise people not to hire a guide—do your own research and explore on your own. Avoid rushing into shopping with guides, as you may end up losing money to scams. Overall, Egyptian people are wonderful, but the tourism side could be better.

I chose Radisson because it's so close to the airport (I arrived late and didn't want to drive on at night). The interior design (lobby with "open" patio, rooms etc.) was very attractive and fully correspond with the 4-5 star rating of the hotel. The selection of dishes for breakfast was also very good (except for the missing orange juice). Upon check out with the quality manager (by chance), she was really interested in learning what they could do to improve in my rating (I said I would give an 8 of 10).

A big shoutout to Ahmed, the wonderful gentleman who was working in the rooftop bar and restaurant in the evenings! He is a real gem and made us feel at home with his kindness and care - definitely 5 star treatment! We wish you all the best and to the Marwa Palace hotel which was a nice oasis of peace after spending a few evenings closer to the pyramids! Great location, pleasant staff and a good base. Thanks 🙏🏻

The room and bed were comfortable, and we were able to get a good night sleep. Pyramids were within 30 minutes walking distance. Breakfast was the best out of all hotels stayed in egypt, except one 5 star in alexander. Staff were super friendly, and hospitality was 5 stars, felt welcomed, and very much enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend staying at the Taj Pyramids View INN.
