Location was amazing. Near everything but still somehow quiet. Cute little wine bar downstairs wheee we had complimentary Prosecco and great breakfast. The staff were great with recommendations too. Most importantly the room has AC and the bed was super comfortable. We liked it more than our bed at home.

FAQs about hotels in Prague

Discover the Magic of Prague

The Czech capital is nothing short of magical, with Prague’s countless bridges, cathedrals, domes and castles reflected in the Vltava River. Thankfully the city escaped most of WWII’s destruction, leaving the rich history and fairytale façade of this Bohemian city intact.

Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle complex in the world and the St. Vitus Cathedral is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. The Cathedral’s lookout tower rewards those willing to climb 300 steps with the best view of the city.

Walking through the cobblestone streets of the Mala Strana district will bring you to the Charles Bridge. Prague’s beautiful 14th-century monument buzzes with musicians and local crafts sales. The Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church, and Storch building of Old Town compete for popularity with the neoclassical Estate Theatre and the Czech National Museum.

The cafes and restaurants of Wenceslas Square are great for people watching and the Franz Kafka house, the Old New Synagogue and Frank Gehry’s Dancing House are perfect for soaking up history.

Flights arriving at Prague Vaclav Havel International Airport will be in the city centre after a short subway ride. For historic hotels, cheap hostels or charming apartments head to Booking.com for nearly 700 accommodations in Prague.

We were in Prague for 5 nights, plenty of time to get around this amazing city. We did walking tours and bike tours (not great for biking due to the cobble streets and lack of bicycle lanes) and saw all the main tourist attractions. I would recommend getting a good guide who will tell you the back stories about the history of this city. Getting around is so easy, the public transport system is excellent. Restaurants are cheap, Asian food here is particularly good, and the city is very clean.

    Loved Prague.

Loved Prague. Very clean lots of old buildings with character and most cleaned up brickwork. So many churches with superb interiors and hosting classical concerts. Easy to see most things by walking but also tram system brilliant for getting around. Must go over Charles Bridge and see other side of river and even saw a beaver in the river. Prague Castle very impressive as well as the cathedral there with so many superb stained glass windows. Vytopna railway restaurant is a must but Lego museum of bricks only average. Also go to a classical concert in one of the churches.

    My second time here.

My second time here. This is one of the best cities in Europe. Truly amazing architecture. Great food at very reasonable prices. Superb beer. Friendly locals. I can’t say enough positive about it. It is also a very green city. Lots of parks and some forests within city limits. There are a great many gems just waiting to be discovered. I will be coming back many more times.

Prague is like Prais 2.0 in my opinion because during WW2 it was stood safe due to their people accepting others even though they were Nazi! And for me as a Persian they almost accept me as who I am but there is still room for adaptation to learn their culture! A lots of Americans and UK people go there including French and Canadians I met. I loved the openess of women as well as their knowledge in Engish was better that I expected which explains why USA and UK people are most visitors. I love one day I could marry a Czech woman like most of my American freinds do! <3 ;)

The buildings in Prague are stunning, the views of the Vltava River are beautiful and the old-style trams are charming. There is so much to see that you need to either be very selective or very relaxed - we stumbled across the Loreta Praha, a stunning baroque church/basilica/cloister opposite the Cernin Palace near the Prague Castle in Hradcany. One of the best places for good quality, authentic Czech food is the Restaurace Mincovna on Starometske nam, on the north-east corner of the Old Town Square. It's a bit pricey, but the food, ambience and friendly service are worth it. For easier moving around the city, consider buying a several day (1 day or 3-day) transport ticket from the yellow ticket machines just outside the airport. (The 3-day ticket currently costs about £11 sterling.) And be sure to validate it before getting on your first bus by inserting it into the yellow machines nearby. Be careful of the over-touristy part of the Old Town and avoid the tourists, rip-off merchants and pick-pockets.

Grandium is a big and comfortable hotel close to the city center. The standard twin room met our expectations. The breakfast was the highlight of our stay, as the variety and quality of foods was excellent. The location of the hotel was also pretty convenient, about 10 mins on foot from the Old Town Square. The price of the room was also very good. The only downsides were the TV, that had no streaming services, only international TV channels, and the expensive mini bar, although that can be expected in 5 star hotels.

A short tram ride from the main train station, right in the heart of the central tourist area. Surrounded by great shops and restaurants. An easy walk to both Wenceslas Square and the Old Town Square. A very friendly and helpful front desk. A very good breakfast buffet with lots of options. The room was large and the bathroom looked recently updated. This particular room was not in the main hotel, but out in a separate building with one other guest room. It turned out to be an ideal and very quiet location.

This hotel is well worth considering for a short stay in Prague. Our standard room was definitely 'no frills', but the bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent. Breakfast was good. The location is great; a short walk to Old Town Square and close to the metro and tram stop. Something to note: the courtyard shown in the pictures isn't the main entrance. From the street the hotel looks quite different - which was confusing on arrival.
