A nice city to visit for 2-3 days, less touristic than Prague. There's not too much to see. Mind that especially during the winter is a bit empty of people and places close very early. Olomouc is a beautiful smaller city with a quiet, calm, university vibe. There is a great Museum of Modern Art and a Diocesan Museum with a large art collection and museum sections covering the development of the city from prehistory to today. I stayed in room lilac (all rooms are named after some flowers / plants and show design relating to their name). The room was beautiful and it even smelled of lilac. Location is also great – very close to the city, but in a silent area of Olomouc. In front of the hotel is a very beuatiful garden.
