It is a beautiful town, gorgeous beaches. Prices are average for the Caribbean. Public transport is not reliable, therefore, renting a car is the best option to go to the beaches and to move around. Very nice city, vibrant and beautiful. The scenery is amazing. People are nice and friendly. There are multiple restaurants and places to visit. Willemstad is a great Caribbean experience, with a lot of history. As a Dutch person I will always feel the connection, even though the colonial part is not always something to be proud of. Great location, only a short stroll to the Pirate Bay (great beach and good restaurants). The appartment is wonderful, everything is present to cook and have good time. It's a high floor appartment, so very well vented, seaview and terrace are great. If you're with a car - secured (outside) parking is available and it's very convenient to reach by a (rented) car. The location is very quiet and safe. The room was nice, airco working perfectly, good beds and with a fridge to store some food. We also liked the swimming pool and the rooftop/veranda where we spent quite some time. And a special thanks to Simône who took very well care of us with a varied breakfast each day, a smile, and some useful tips for things to do in Curacao.
