Perfect! By far the best hotel we stayed at in Costa Rica. There are wild animals (sloths, monkeys, toucan,..) on the hotel property and we loved it! Spacious rooms and nice staff. The private beach that you can reach by golf cart is a big plus

The staff will go above and beyond to make you feel special. The guys driving the buggies are incredibly nice and they will show you sloths! You will have a dedicated member of staff answering all your queries. We had Pamela who was very prompt and sweet. There is a Macao’s rescue centre inside the property land and it is possible to visit it for free with a guide. The guide, Clarence, is SO good that we decided to go to Manuel Antonio park only because he was leading the visit. It really worth it! We booked one night and we extended one more night And finally, you can see sloths 🦥!

    We just loved this park.

We just loved this park. In a little more than a ½ day we walked all the trails except the closed one. We stopped for an hour in the café -- which is enclosed in a cage to prevent the animals from coming in! That was the first time I had a drink in a cage. The trails are great and we saw lots of wildlife on our own, including a toucan and a sloth (only saw it on our way out!). The beaches are beautiful too. The only issue is parking. I can't tell what's official and what isn't, and at the hotel they warn you your car can be damaged if you just try to park wherever rather than in their lots. We parked somewhere and paid (talked him down) but I'm not sure it was official. No issues with our car though. Highly recommend this park!

    The Nature Reserve was amazing.

The Nature Reserve was amazing. I expected to explore for 2-3 hours and go to the beach. I didn't realize that the entry fee includes several beautiful beaches to choose from with white sand and the water is perfect! I joined a guided tour with Ricardo for $20 and it was awesome! A truly great day that lasted more like 9 hours after taking the hike to the waterfall. My only regret is not planning enough time to explore here. Souvenirs are pricey here, as in most places. If you find camisettas for $10-15 at the shuttle stops along the way, buy them. I got a delicious smoothie at the restaurant inside the Reserve. My tour partner got a sandwich that was huge.

Like a lot of Costa Rica, Manuel Antonio is wedged between the ocean and the mountain making for some steep winding roads and small areas with lots packed into them. One such area is the park entrance which is filled with people selling things or trying to get you to pay for parking. From the park entrance to the public beach is a15 minute walk but there are not really any sidewalks so pay attention to traffic. The public beach is great but like at the park entrance, you will likely be bombarded with people selling things. Plenty of options to eat but parking can be tricky so choose accommodations within walking distance of what you want to do.

The tour guide we booked through the Gaia Hotel and Reserver was amazing and we were able to view both Two toed and Three Toed Sloths, Macaws, Howler Monkey, White Faced Capucin, crabs, lizards, grasshoppers, dragon flies, and more. The guide was knowledgable and high quality professional photos were sent to use by the concierge afterwards. It was an amazing vacation and we only wish we could have stayed longer.

Manual Antonio National Park, tends to be too crowded.

Manual Antonio National Park, tends to be too crowded. Arriving to the park was a bad experience with many unprofessional vendors trying to get your attention. Once we navigated through all the crowds, and the long lines at the cafeteria/souvenir shop, we got to the beach. It was amazing. The city itself is not easy to navigate. Narrow steep, winding roads, that can lead to some amazing views, and restaurants. If you are not adventurous, and prefer to walk to destinations this is not the town I would recommend.

The accommodation is indeed very close to the Manuel Antonio Park. Convenient parking, we were able to check in at 3am. The beach is also very close to the beach and it is very pleasant to swim there. The breakfast is delicious and hearty, plus the restaurant has a wonderful view. On top of that, on the first morning I saw two toucans on the tree in front of the terrace and a squirrel monkey walking on the wires. It was a fantastic experience to spend our first two nights in Costa Rica here. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Hotel is located very close to the Manuel Antonio national park entrance (very convinient as your car can be parked for free at the hotel secured parking and then you can just walk to the park entrance). At the same time, great and long beach is just across the road - amazing for morning walks! It takes a few minutes of walk to several good restaraunts nearby, if you do not want to eat in the hotel cafe itself. My room had a nice view of the palms facing the beach.
