Our first impression was about the property size and beauty! And we were impressed how clean and lovely the room was. Amazing! It’s definitely a paradise! Lots of hiking trails right on the property! The location is excellent to go to Chirripo National Park. Just about 50m and you are in the beginning of the track. When leaving early for the hike, they pack you your breakfast. Room had all you need, basic stuff. Bed was clean and had blankets also. You can leave your car in the parking lot if you stay overnight in the national park. Very convinient.

Near to Chirripó registration offices for the park and for Crestones, this is a comfortable hotel tucked up on the mountain side with a delicious restaurant and pleasant grounds to walk on. The reception helped us get a ride to the trailhead for our climb, too.

Amazing location in a giant botanical garden, designed by an expert and kept in peak condition, astounding. Owners/staff were so friendly and helpful, we received a bottle of Cava as a welcome gift for our stay over the new year ❤️ Breakfast was big and tasted excellent, cooked freshly and served in a nice area to eat. Bed was giant, apartment was large and clean, nice little terrace and large bathroom. 50m from the tourist office where permits are handed out and information shared, also a 2km walking distance to Chirripoo trailhead, maybe 150m altitude gain along the 2km. Just cross the bridge outside the property and keep on walking!

It’s the perfect place to reconnect with nature and watch the Costa Rican wildlife, we were able to spot a lot of animals while here. We had a very peaceful stay, the position is great, the centre of Rivas is easily accessible. The hosts are incredible! They have been very helpful throughout our stay, with many suggestions and tips about places to visit and activities to do. We’ll definitely be back and we recommend it to everyone who’d like to experience and authentic stay immersed in nature.

Jessie and his family are awesome hosts, the house was lovely with a great view. The kitchen and other facilities had everything you needed, even a washing machine was there to use. Would definitely stay there again!!!

    This is a place of immense natural beauty.

    This is a place of immense natural beauty. It is rural and remote so there is no night life and it can feel far from the action, but this is precisely why one goes. Life slows down and everything gets quiet. This would be a great place to have a sabbatical or scheduled alone time. Many accommodations are quite rustic and this is what I love most. I loved it so much, I spent four months here.
