This hotel is located in the center of Tamarindo, but in quiet area. You can relax in peace by the relatively large swimming pool. The hotel is close to restaurants, bars, shops and the beach. You will find everything you need in its surroundings. There was nothing to complain about the room and cleaning. Nice and helpful staff. Puravida

This is not like your generic hostel for backpackers, we stayed in a basic room with shared bathroom facilities and it felt like we were splurging on luxury! Super modern, so clean, fantastic bedding, hot showers with great pressure, complimentary shampoo/body wash, very quiet in off season. It has some great activities and atmosphere in the main area, my partner played in poker night on Sunday, and every night people from around the town come to hang out and drink there. There’s a pool table, tour desk, pool etc. l didn’t really engage in much activities but loved the friendly atmosphere and things to do. Also a short 2-5min walk to playa grande beach to surf or hang out. Has free parking (which saved us $10 from parking at playa grande). Has some restaurants nearby that you can walk to as well, although if you’re backpacking and don’t have a car it is quite far from Tamarindo etc so just a heads up you’d have to pay for a taxi etc if you’re interested in doing that. This kind of area is best suited if you want to chill at the beach or surf and that’s about it. We had a car so we could adventure around and outside of the town more so it was great.

Muchas gracias to the owners from Hotel Casa Carlota. The Hotel is near from Tamarindo, but you may be need a car to go there. For us it was perfect far away from the trouble. But its close to a supermarket. The room was very clean and we had enough space. You also have a fridge and a coffeemachine. We used the kitchen outdoor in the cooking area for the breakfast. There‘s also a swimmingpool, which was cleaned everyday. The owners are very friendly and they also give us good suggestions. This place is amazing!! Like a little hidden paradise and literally only 3 mins from the beach. The host Emanuel was super friendly and helpful. The place is taken care of so well, the garden and especially all the little decoration details outside and in the room. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious as well as the bathroom. Only for this place I would go back to Tamarindo :)!!

We had a great place. With fridge microwave and sink but no stove. Breakfast was included, very good with many options. Staff super friendly. Free access to a couple of beach bikes and surfboards. They are a bit worn out but do the job. Parking spot in front. The beach is a bit far with about a 10min walk. Walk is easy and safe though. Many options for food close by. Would stay again!

Next to the fact that the location is simply wonderful, filled with lush greenery and birds, an oasis of tranquility, Joe and Isa, the hosts, are warm people and truly care for their guests. They immediately make you feel at home upon arrival. The location is spot clean, all details in place. The hosts cater to all your needs, you really feel treated like a queen and king. Joe and Isa have a background in the food industry, which you can see in the breakfast. Tasteful, seasoned, fresh and original platters, prepared with love. Would 100% recommend to couples looking for a relaxing atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle of touristy Tamarindo.
