Perhaps the best value for money hotel I’ve stayed in. Very good location, great breakfast with fresh fruits and delicious juice, accommodating staff, coffee and tea available at any time, and the best of all, free access to thermal baths that are absolutely fantastic. I LOVE THIS HOTEL! Waking up every morning and seeing the volcano just made my birthday trip even more special. I spent hours in the hammock just looking at the birds around me and the volcano! The pool was a great size and the hot tub was an added bonus. It is near all the tourist sites and lots of restaurants nearby. The tea and coffee facilities were great and the staff were so helpful and left me a little surprise in my room for my birthday. I would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat!

Location was great, close to everything that I had booked. Very good communication, quick replies. The manager/owner went out of his way to come by the property with a card reader for payment. He then suggested a few options for excursions.

The hotel is in a very beautiful, quiet and pleasant location. We found the room comfortable and the staff very kind. The view from the windows is very nice but, particularly in our room (villa 12), the view of the volcano was obstructed by trees - which seems very natural to me, since we were in the middle of nature - but it wasn't exactly the same as the photos we saw. The fact that breakfast wasn't at the hotel didn't bother us at all, the restaurant is a 2-minute drive away and the hotel offers transportation. We liked it very much and would definitely return.

    We enjoyed the area and while we did a lot including driving...

    We enjoyed the area and while we did a lot including driving to Monteverde for zipline tour, we chose one day of pampering rather than adventure so did not hike around Arenal or paddle board on Arenal. We did white water rafting between Puerto Viejo and Fortuna. We did waterfall repelling near Fortuna (amazing). The people are friendly and the area is lovely. We enjoyed a night time nature tour with our hotel (Noah's Landing) and Nayara Gardens was amazing. We saw plenty of sloths but so much more! We went to the Mistico hanging bridges on a rainy day which worked well-it did not matter. We also visited the Fortuna Waterfall (500 steps down-then 500 steps up but worth it!) If you like adventure- there is plenty. If you want to relax-it is a beautiful place to do so.

    This is a great area to experience Costa Rica and the wildlife. We visited Mistico hanging bridges (great with a guide as located creatures we would not have); La Fortuna waterfall (no guide needed); Sky adventures (aerial tram, zip lines & trails); sloth guided tour; Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails (day pass with lunch) - all of which we would recommend!

    It is difficult to get around in Costa Rica.

    It is difficult to get around in Costa Rica. They have on main major highway and you must get off that highway to get to Jaco and Fortuna. The roads are windy and it takes forever to get somewhere. It took us 3.5 hours to get from Fortuna to San Jose and it is less than 100 miles. This is due to the windy roads which are typically one lane in each direction. However, it is a beautiful drive. Just be prepared! If you are in the Jaco area, do not miss Villa Caletas. Has an amazing view. We stayed at the Marriott Vacation Club at Los Suenos in Garabito. It is a beautiful property.

    The room was too small clostephobic no air conditioning no tv no nothing i dont recommend staying here you will regret it. i tried to get a refund and the girl at the reception didnt know how to work the compurter or do any assistance to this matter. I Strongly encourage you not to stay here if you do then i could say i told you so....please go somewhere else for the money.......totallyt a rip off

    Fortuna is a must see city. It was very clean very safe. The people were very friendly and honest. Definitely a US friendly town there was lots to do and lots to see the food was excellent. The roads were good. Couldn’t ask for a better experience would definitely come back.

    Fortuna is amazing! We loved every miniute. We met wonderful, friendly people, who just wanted to share their love of their country and culture. Every meal was delicious, Service is top notch, and the prices are great. It is perfectly located to enjoy all of the surrounging tours, ziplining, hiking, ATV, sloth tours, and omg the hot springs and thermal rivers! You must visit!!

    Very friendly staff in this small family run hotel, in the local end of town. About 1k walk to the main centre, which we did in the evenings and felt pretty safe. Use of the pool (but book a slot during swim school sessions in the later afternoon). Basic but comfortable room included a small fridge, air con and plenty of hot water in the bathroom. Breakfast was included. If you want to escape the touristy world of La Fortuna this little hotel is worth staying at.

    Armando and Angela are kind individuals operating an amazing hotel! It is situated just on the outskirts of La Fortuna, but easily accessible by foot. The balcony provides a great view of the volcano. Angela was quick to respond to any of my requests and we loved Armando's night frog tour! We would stay here again if we return to La Fortuna!
