Everything was fantastic, can't fault a single thing about this hotel. The setting at the restaurant is what dreams are made of. As we sat down to have lunch on our first day there was a sloth climbing down a tree with the volcano in the background.

One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve stayed in. It is actually better than on the photos. You wake up with breathtaking views. The double shower is also a plus. The lodge is super clean with high ceilings and everything you need (hair dryer, mini bar with local beers etc). The staff is super nice and helpful. Thank you so much!

Everything perfect. This is the place you wanna be. We come back for sure, but longer for sure. Ferm our room we could see tucans, mockingbirds and several other animals. Just amazing! Stuff excellent and free coffe and water at the reception.

    We enjoyed the area and while we did a lot including driving...

    We enjoyed the area and while we did a lot including driving to Monteverde for zipline tour, we chose one day of pampering rather than adventure so did not hike around Arenal or paddle board on Arenal. We did white water rafting between Puerto Viejo and Fortuna. We did waterfall repelling near Fortuna (amazing). The people are friendly and the area is lovely. We enjoyed a night time nature tour with our hotel (Noah's Landing) and Nayara Gardens was amazing. We saw plenty of sloths but so much more! We went to the Mistico hanging bridges on a rainy day which worked well-it did not matter. We also visited the Fortuna Waterfall (500 steps down-then 500 steps up but worth it!) If you like adventure- there is plenty. If you want to relax-it is a beautiful place to do so.

    This is a great area to experience Costa Rica and the wildlife. We visited Mistico hanging bridges (great with a guide as located creatures we would not have); La Fortuna waterfall (no guide needed); Sky adventures (aerial tram, zip lines & trails); sloth guided tour; Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails (day pass with lunch) - all of which we would recommend!

    It is difficult to get around in Costa Rica.

    It is difficult to get around in Costa Rica. They have on main major highway and you must get off that highway to get to Jaco and Fortuna. The roads are windy and it takes forever to get somewhere. It took us 3.5 hours to get from Fortuna to San Jose and it is less than 100 miles. This is due to the windy roads which are typically one lane in each direction. However, it is a beautiful drive. Just be prepared! If you are in the Jaco area, do not miss Villa Caletas. Has an amazing view. We stayed at the Marriott Vacation Club at Los Suenos in Garabito. It is a beautiful property.

    The room was too small clostephobic no air conditioning no tv no nothing i dont recommend staying here you will regret it. i tried to get a refund and the girl at the reception didnt know how to work the compurter or do any assistance to this matter. I Strongly encourage you not to stay here if you do then i could say i told you so....please go somewhere else for the money.......totallyt a rip off

    Fortuna is a must see city. It was very clean very safe. The people were very friendly and honest. Definitely a US friendly town there was lots to do and lots to see the food was excellent. The roads were good. Couldn’t ask for a better experience would definitely come back.

    Fortuna is amazing! We loved every miniute. We met wonderful, friendly people, who just wanted to share their love of their country and culture. Every meal was delicious, Service is top notch, and the prices are great. It is perfectly located to enjoy all of the surrounging tours, ziplining, hiking, ATV, sloth tours, and omg the hot springs and thermal rivers! You must visit!!

    Very disappointed in the uncomfortable sofa bed in junior suite. Not made up when we arrived very tired after long flight and drive to La Fortuna. I recommend hotel invest in a mattress pad to reduce or minimize the hard ridges in sofa bed. I was travelling with my granddaughter and we like separate beds not too close together which is why I chose junior suite. Looked like quite a distance between two on the photos. Pool and restaurant staff were excellent

    The property is absolutely beautiful and well maintained, right in the middle of the rain forest. Room is a bit small but spotless. Very good breakfast. Staff is amazing, super attentive and always ready to help. They also organize a free night tour in the property to see frogs/snakes etc.. La Fortuna Waterfall is not even 10 minutes hotel from the hotel.

    Armando and Angela are kind individuals operating an amazing hotel! It is situated just on the outskirts of La Fortuna, but easily accessible by foot. The balcony provides a great view of the volcano. Angela was quick to respond to any of my requests and we loved Armando's night frog tour! We would stay here again if we return to La Fortuna!

    Good location in the town, and access to the brother hotel near the La Fortuna Volcano was a huge positive. Nice place to stay for the price we paid. We did get a significant discount though. Breakfast was good too and staff super friendly and helpful.
