we loved this place so much. we stayed in the tree house and it was perfect. the entire place was so clean and the owners were constantly cleaning and maintaining the area. we cooked in the outdoor kitchen and it was a joy to do that. the owners were so helpful and pleasant and even drove us to our next hostel completely free of charge and out of the goodness of their hearts. I would stay here again no problem. it was perfect and so chilled. the hammocks are great too for relaxing. loved it loved it loved it!!! the owners really take pride in the place and that was great to see. 100% recommend!

This hotel is located in the center of Tamarindo, but in quiet area. You can relax in peace by the relatively large swimming pool. The hotel is close to restaurants, bars, shops and the beach. This is not like your generic hostel for backpackers, we stayed in a basic room with shared bathroom facilities and it felt like we were splurging on luxury! Super modern, so clean, fantastic bedding, hot showers with great pressure, complimentary shampoo/body wash, very quiet in off season. It has some great activities and atmosphere in the main area, my partner played in poker night on Sunday, and every night people from around the town come to hang out and drink there. There’s a pool table, tour desk, pool etc. l didn’t really engage in much activities but loved the friendly atmosphere and things to do. Also a short 2-5min walk to playa grande beach to surf or hang out. Has free parking (which saved us $10 from parking at playa grande). Has some restaurants nearby that you can walk to as well, although if you’re backpacking and don’t have a car it is quite far from Tamarindo etc so just a heads up you’d have to pay for a taxi etc if you’re interested in doing that. This kind of area is best suited if you want to chill at the beach or surf and that’s about it. We had a car so we could adventure around and outside of the town more so it was great.

Muchas gracias to the owners from Hotel Casa Carlota. The Hotel is near from Tamarindo, but you may be need a car to go there. For us it was perfect far away from the trouble. But its close to a supermarket. The room was very clean and we had enough space. You also have a fridge and a coffeemachine. We used the kitchen outdoor in the cooking area for the breakfast. There‘s also a swimmingpool, which was cleaned everyday. The owners are very friendly and they also give us good suggestions. Beautiful little paradise with a lovely style! But most of all great hosts who took good care before and during our stay. They comunicated and organized everything very well. And also made great breakfast. Perfect for some days of relaxing and/or exploring activities and restaurants close by.

We booked a night last minute after a small schedule issue in our planning. And we were welcomed so kindly, the staff was so attentive and kind, always checking if we had everything we needed. The place is really beautiful, very clean And the morning breakfast (special pancake) was just delicious. We were so positively surprised by this place, we keep it in mind for our next visit !
