La Prometida is a beautiful hotel with a real personal touch from the owners who were also incredibly helpful in advising and providing recommendations for the surrounding area (as were all the staff, who were also so friendly!). Breakfast was also delicious with various options to choose from.

Perfect location, close to everything (national park, beach, restaurants, supermarket). Wonderful views from the bedroom terraces. Very nice swimming pool and amenities, with a beautiful park (with monkeys, all kinds of birds, sloths, iguanas...). Adorable owners, welcoming, always kind and helping with everything.

-Very lovely hosts, made us feel welcome and we felt comfortable immediately :) -very clean, one of the cleanest placest in Costa Rica -small kitchen and free water -although the location seems to be a bit outside on the map, it is only 5-10 min walk to the city center -very quite and no car noise as in the city

We stayed in the Casita reina (the small house on the property). Everything was wonderful. The house is perfect for a couple. You got everything you need for cooking. Bed is comfortable. Missing a few hang hooks for the towel but otherwise all very comfortable. The pool is super nice. Kim, the host, is very accommodating and you ll received a warm welcome From her and her dogs. The house is about 10 minutes walk from the beach and a grocery store. 30 minutes walk from Puerto viejo so close enough to walk but far enough to enjoy a little peace and quiet if needed. Highly recommend:)
