Perfect place to stay .quiet . nice garden. clean and comfortable room. The owner. The lady takes extremely good care of her guests . The location is excellent to go to Chirripo National Park. Just about 50m and you are in the beginning of the track. When leaving early for the hike, they pack you your breakfast. Room had all you need, basic stuff. Bed was clean and had blankets also. You can leave your car in the parking lot if you stay overnight in the national park. Very convinient.

We stayed in the deluxe waterfront bungalow, which is at a separate location from the rest of the hotel. Their restaurant was closed during our stay so we didn't have dinner, and didn't want breakfast so we spent very little time on the hotel grounds. My review is thus for the bungalow only. That review is...wow!! This building and property was absolutely stunning. It's a beautiful and rustic log cabin, and it's RIGHT next to the river so you have a view you'll never tire of, and hear the rushing sound of water everywhere. And the entry to the property is gated so there's simply no one else around you. They even provided wood to build a fire in the built-in fire pit on the deck. It's like your own private riverside paradise!

The breakfast was really nice with several options to chose from. The staff was always friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed the pool. The menu for lunch and dinner was also good, with a large variety of options to chose from, also for vegetarians.

the location is perfect for climbing Chirripo, you can hire transport to the beginning of the trail for $12. Bernan and Shirley are great hosts, they provided valuable information about local sites to visit. Food was great every time. A mention apart is the "Jardín" itself, it is just a pleasure to walk in the trails and see different plants and beautiful flowers.

It’s the perfect place to reconnect with nature and watch the Costa Rican wildlife, we were able to spot a lot of animals while here. We had a very peaceful stay, the position is great, the centre of Rivas is easily accessible. The hosts are incredible! They have been very helpful throughout our stay, with many suggestions and tips about places to visit and activities to do. We’ll definitely be back and we recommend it to everyone who’d like to experience and authentic stay immersed in nature.
