The owners are lovely, they offer a transfer from the airport which is only 16 mins away into nature... the property is magical. The breakfast was delicious and beds were comfortable. Highly recommend!

The place is clean, and very cozy it really feels like home. The host was amazing, always friendly and attentive. The location is very central, so everything is close by, and the airport shuttle service was a huge plus, super convenient. I would definitely recommend it and would stay here again without a doubt.

We were very happy to stay at this lovely small hotel with a beautiful garden and friendly hosts 🌸 The spacious, well-kept garden is wonderful, with funny rabbits freely hopping around🥰 Everything is very clean, and the breakfast and dinner were delicious. Close to the airport even within walking distance. 2,6 km. Check in at 03:00, a.m. very nice and helpful staff, breakfast was very good and varied, very nice interiors in colonial style, locked parking,, sampler but funcional and clean rooms.

Can't say enough good about this hotel. The setting was beautiful and relaxing. We stayed here before catching an early flight in the morning after 10 days of traveling. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. Would stay again for longer as price and service were exceptional.

I chose this hotel again before and after my flight to San Jose. The staff is really helpful and the free airport transfer is convenient. It's a big improvement that breakfast was available already at 5:45 - it was very good to grab something to eat before our long trip.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. I thought I’d get a convenient nights sleep before traveling out of SJO. Instead I got a touch of the kind and happy spirit of Costa Rica. The dinner at their little Italian restaurant was fantastic (beef lasagna & fresh strawberry juice). The sound of the fountain by the pool was a perfect way to create a calm atmosphere, which got interrupted by planes every 20 minutes, but the calming noise bought it back. And the staff is so friendly.

My flight was delayed but the staff greeted me at 3:30am for check in, helped with my luggage and organised my transfer to the domestic terminal for the next morning. Breakfast was absolutely delicious! Local fruit, hot coffee and gallo pinto with eggs! (My husband and I also stayed a couple of weeks earlier and also had a wonderful experience including a great dinner and drinks).

    I was there one night because it was close to the airport. I would not hang out there for a significant length of time. Not a good place to be after dark. Also came across a suitcase on a sidewalk. It had obviously been stolen and rummaged through.

    Just a medium sized town with everything you need.

    Just a medium sized town with everything you need. There is a Wal Mart, Denny's and lots of other restaurants, stores and cafes. There is not a lot to see in the town for tourists, but it is easy to get into San Jose where you can get a bus to Jaco which has a great beach. You can walk into the town easily and it felt very safe, but I recommend taking the local bus. I would only go here to get to another place, but for a day or 2 it is a nice town to visit.

    San Jose and the area around the airport doesn't have much to recommend it beyond getting in and out of the country. After driving around for two hours to see the highlights, we agreed we couldn't get out of the city fast enough. We ate at the Taj Mahal location near the hotel (had come highly recommended as we'd heard it was the best Indian food around and was an iconic location with peacocks walking around, etc), but the airport location is just an open air restaurant in a strip mall next door to a Starbucks.

    Alajuela was central for us as we visited La Paz the first...

    Alajuela was central for us as we visited La Paz the first day and it was an easy drive back after hiking up and down to see the waterfall and gardens at La Paz. Served as a good jumping off point the next day for a visit to downtown Sam Jose, the National Theater, the museum and central market.

    Alajuela has everything I like in a city without much down side. It's clean and safe with many markets, shops, malls, transportation options, green spaces and restaurants. It even has a large dance school.

    We spent 30 days in Costa Rica and loved it.

    We spent 30 days in Costa Rica and loved it. Alajuela was only for flying to and from Costa Rica. It has horrible traffic and nothing worth seeing that I know of. But its airport has better flight connections for us than Liberia airport. The airport itself is good, but getting in and out is a hassle!

    The breakfast was hands down the best breakfast I had in Costa Rica. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we're cared and catered for. Special shoutout to the bartender Tomas, Jen (reception girl with the dog!) and Angie the waitress. Those people were beyond hospitable and they're the heart of the property. The restaurant is very underrated because we had some of the best food in San Jose right there. Folks staying usually ditch the hotel and go to eat outside, trust me, you have to try the food in their restaurant!!

The family were so friendly, staff excellent and rooms spotless, what more.can a. traveller want. Yes, I would recommend to everyone, 10 out of 10 ! Mts. Pinfold p.s.also quick trip from airport not like going into SanJose.

    Close to the airport. Comfy beds. Decent breakfast. Didn't try the pool so can't comment. Great if you need a night near the airport. Restaurant in hotel with limited menu. Denny's a matter of steps away, not the best meal we've had in Costa Rica but certainly the most expensive!
