We had a lot of fun visiting this town, the weather was great, not too hot. We loved the places we visited like the parks with the statues of the singers of Vallenato. Going to towns nearby like La Junta, and Patillal is a must. Food also was very good. It's a bit of a gritty city. Not a tourist destination. The city could use some TLC and friendly tourist information. The big deal is the annual Vallenato Legend Festival. Some really great restaurants: Taypo went twice! Restro Bar Pedro, great tacos! Varadero, great seafood FitChoice, healthy food Trattoria Ferrini is outstanding! Valledupar is a great hotel located close to everything on...
Valledupar is a great hotel located close to everything on this end of town. Not the side with airport and hotel zone. It is a couple of blocks from the beach and next to the river that has an island in it. Just a walk over the bridge will take you into the romantic zone where clubs and other activities are at. Only negative was the included breakfast. You can do much better with the short walk to the beach area where there are many spots to choose from.Guest review byAdrianColombia - 8.0
Easy city to get around in.
Easy city to get around in. Most everything we needed was close to the hotel. Found a couple of good restaurants, but do not remember the names. One was Italian, the other was a steak restaurant. Taxis are inexpensive and can get you wherever you need to go.Guest review byNeilUnited States
