Its was an amazing experience! Getting to know the town and its people was lovely, everyone was very welcoming and kind. Gustavo was really really kind, explained me a bit the community a but of history, I learned about their customs, their current situation as a community and how they are envisioning their town to make it better. With Gustavo you can go to explore the jungle, he also can bring you to tours in his boat. The place where a slept was good for resting after long hours of walking. The kitchen was perfect, super well equipped.

They took really good care, when there was no bottled water they went out in the middle of the night to get it. It was a nice chilling place, the music was kept down to the minimum. I got all the info I needed on how to get around. The bus was particularly useful to get to town. There was a lovely natural pool of water few hundred meters away and there were other places within easy reach to swim.

It was a one-of-a-lifetime experience. We really enjoyed the reserve and the nature that sorrounds it. I want to recommend it for everyone who would like to sleep in the jungle. Staying at this hostal with a local family was an unforgettable experience! It offered an authentic glimpse into the daily life of the Macedonia community. We had incredible adventures, including a night walk through the jungle, a canoe ride on the river, and an amazing trip to a neighboring community in Peru. The chance to observe the stunning nature up close was truly special. The food was delicious, and the comfort exceeded our expectations. If only we could have stayed longer!

Extremely charming when the owner is on-site hosting you. Worth the drive out of Leticia to start or extend your Amazon experience. The bubble tents are cool and completely sealed and bug-free. It’s a relatively new business so it’s not perfect but it is authentic, nestled in the jungle, and run by kind people from the area. Very helpful in the planning of transfers and tours.

If you want to have a proper jungle experience, this is the place for you. The hike to get there it’s an experience itself. Ask Byron as your guide, he will stop and show you every insect, plant and so on. Better learn some Spanish before going!
