We didn't really know what to expect coming to manizales, we didn't have super high Expectacions. But once we arrived at hotel adel, they Took really good care of us, the room is very clean and confortable. Also- the hotel is right across the street from the bus terminal so that's very convenient. Another thing- theres a teleférico from the terminal to go up to the center of town which is what we did. Had some food, walked around and then back down the teleférico. Convenient and cheap.

The Main House and its setting within the gardens was exceptional. To wake in the morning and watch the amazing bird life from the veranda was so beautiful and so relaxing. The home cooked meals and friendliness of the staff made for a perfect stay. Unlimited free coffee from their farm was a bonus.

Safety is a priority. We can walk at any time with no problems and or fear. Public transportation and platform are available and it is cheap. Visit Manizales and experience a great adventure.

    Very pleasantly situated amidst beautiful green hills, mild and easy climate, splendid main boulevard for shopping and sightseeing, the locals uniformly gracious and friendly; not too large and not too small; not a tourist mecca because it lacks obvious attractions but nonetheless an excellent logistics base for further adventures in the area.

    There are a variety of activities to do, both inside and outside the city, depending on what you like, you can go to viewpoints or places where you can go hiking and connect with nature. Its people are very friendly and very respectful.

    Beautiful city.

    Beautiful city. Since it was my first trip to Colombia I stayed about 2 weeks in Manizales, I needed to get my bearings and learn to take the buses, the money, etc. I got tired of being in the city and when I discovered how gorgeous the country around it is, I took off to some of the parks, springs and smaller towns. It is an extremely scenic area, even the city, with makes SanFrancisco look flat. It's at the top of a mountain. The people are unbelievably nice and polite! Loved it. Don't miss the cathedral. The aero cable cars are public transportation, amazing.

    Very interesting sitting perched on top of the mountains. Very gothic city including the Basilica and all the antennas on the top. Quite an unusual vibe in the city. Cooler weather than most cities in the area. Beautiful surroundings.

    Manizales is an amazing city - it is very safe, clean and beautiful scenery. It is one of the safest cities I have traveled to in the world, without feeling nervous at anytime. I feel safer in Manizales than many cities in the United States and Europe. Definitely the safest city in Latin America and I have travelled to virtually every country in LATAM with the exception of the Guyanas.

    The apartment is super clean, very well located in front of the biggest mall in Manizales. Plenty of options for shopping and eating. The apartment is almost at the top of the building with an amazing view. The host answers super fast and the service is unique, he gave us amazing recommendations about what to visit and he was really spot on!

    We had a glamping cabin booked, after been moved through 3 different cabins, the first one they couldn’t find the key, second one had no water and last one was open to the elements and too cold at night. The staff member did give us a hotel room instead at least.
