I rarely give reviews but i just had to this time. I’ve travelled around the world to many hotels but I haven’t come across anyone like JONATHAN. He took the initiative to call my room and provide his personal assistance. Being a foreigner in China could be challenging and he made sure i had none of it. He truly deserves a raise for how he treats his guests. Pure 5* service. Thank you for all the help and the Property is lucky to have someone like him.

The free cookie they give you when you arrive was amazing. The infinity pool was excellent. The staff are very helpful. Some of them have only basic English but this doesn't stop them trying their best to help. The rooms are very large and impressive.

Staff are all friendly, attentive and helpful. It was a surprise that there was a electronic bidget in the bathroom which usually can only find at hotels in Japan. Buffet breakfast was worth to try especially I had been offered a 20% off. There were lots of variety and the food were delicious. I did not expect we could have ice cream for breakfast buffet!

Sparkling Chinese Metropolis

Shenzhen is considered one of the most successful and prosperous cities in China. It is located in the Guangdong province, along the border with Hong Kong. Although 30 years ago it was a small fishing village, the creation of the first Special Economic Zone transformed the region into a bustling metropolis with almost 15 million people.

Its shiny urban landscape and cultural life include contemporary icons like the Shenzhen Library, the Concert Hall, and the Portofino complex. The districts of Futian, Luohu and Nanshan are packed with modern hotels, including some of the best 4 and 5-star accommodation in Shenzhen.

The city is famous for its amusement parks, including the’Splendid China and China Folk Culture Villages’. During the 17th century, migrants from the northern Hakka peoples arrived in significant numbers, and remnants like the ‘Crane Lake Fortified Hakka Village’ are an important legacy. The region includes beautiful beaches, and the Dapeng Peninsula is gaining momentum as one of the country’s best coastal stretches.

    It is all that we can expect of a modern city. Well designed, clean, efficient and langham staff are extraordinary. Just watch out for the bad potatoes..a dishonest taxi driver that fetched us from shekou ferry terminal.

    Been first time in Shenzhen and not able to speak Chinese...

    Been first time in Shenzhen and not able to speak Chinese was interesting. People were helpful, polite and patient. I was told there were all sorts of hurdles. No internet, needs VPN , no WhatsApp blah blah blah. I bought an esim from Agoda which was cheap as chips which worked brilliantly. WhatsApp worked as normal. I installed Alipay with a credit card that doesn't charge international fees before travelling. Alipay pays for everything. Brilliant. It had Didi for transport. Brillant. I had WeChat installed but not able to read Chinese it was not completely helpful unless I ask the restaurant staff to help. I installed Amap which is to replace Google map and it was very accurate. So an esim from Agoda/Alipay/Amap/WeChat is all you need. Oh Google translation was mighty helpful for menus etc Enjoy.

    I went to Shenzhen mostly to buy various electronic equipment cheaply and was not disappointed. There are mare shopping malls than you can pole a stick at. I never had time to visit several places I had planned to as there was so much to do.

    Visit the OCT Park on Tuesdays through Sundays for a 7pm show. We ate local fruits and vedgetables from local RenRenLe and Buzzing Hotpot restaurants. It is very easy to get around by Electric BYD taxis. Kids and families must also visit the Window of The World {expensive entry}

    A bit different from other cities in China.

    A bit different from other cities in China. A lot more practical and probably easier to navigate for a foreigner. If you are interested in history and Chinese culture, may be other cities could be better. But if you are mainly for work, Shenzhen is pretty easy to navigate.

    My entire trip to ShenZhen was perfect. I liked everything.

    My entire trip to ShenZhen was perfect. I liked everything. First, the zoo was super interactive, my son loved it. I highly recommend it. It's a perfect place for families. It has many attractions, parks and entertainment for children. As for shopping, there are plenty of options. The food is very good. I highly recommend it.

    Location of the hotel is really downtown and you access the city within minutes. The hotel is large. My room was at the executive floor, not expected. The room was lovely with a large bed and a large well equipped bathroom. Nice soft floor carpet. Great view over the largest tower in Shenzhen. Super breakfast choice.
