This place is close to the sea in Viña del Mar, in almost central location but very quiet, with a beautiful garden which offers a relaxing atmosphere. All was wonderful in this place, from the breakfast served by the owner Adri, always extremely kind, friendly and helpful, up to the help of Christian in indicating places to visit and reserving restaurants for us. It was a very pleasant stay in the Christian and Adri's place.

    Viña del Mar was disappointing.

    Viña del Mar was disappointing. We needed to get to Valparaiso for a cruise and thought it would be too hectic, so opted to stay in Vina del Mar for 4 nights. It was a much bigger, steeper and denser city than we expected, with loud traffic along the coast, making the quiet beach walks we'd imagined out of the question. Then, due to a tragic forest fire (arson) the National Botanic Garden of Chile was basically gone (one main thing we wanted to visit). One of the museums was also closed the day we planned to see it, for a private event. It was still a better choice than Valparaiso probably would have been for a couple of nights before our cruise left from Valparaiso, but not the place we'd imagined. We did get to two good restaurants thanks to our hotel hosts' suggestions. The train along the coast between Viña and Valpo (its nickname) was very efficient and we could have spent more time in Valpo. If we were both able to walk a lot and climb hills, staying in Viña and visiting Valpo more than once would be a good option. We loved our hotel -- see our review of Esencia Boutique.

    Viña is a lovely coastal town with lots to offer, especially during the summer. We went in winter time, which just makes me wonder how delightful it would be at 30 degrees instead of 6. But the place is clearly beautiful. A must-go, especially being so easily accessible by bus from Santiago. We took TourBus, new and well-equipped bus with plenty of space, which drops you in the heart of the city.

    Nice place with a beautiful view. Payment was very difficult. Took my several hours for several days to troubleshoot. Booked with American Express Card. Once arrived, did not accept card, nor Visa. Wanted bank transfer; then Western Union wire; then cash (in Peso) in drawer. Tried everything (expect drawer); but noting worked and could not use any cards in any scenario. Finally got Peso ($600 US Dollar) through numerous bank machine withdrawals (as limited), then had to use to wire Peso via Western Union (as I refused to leave $ in drawer with no record of transaction). Everything felt very shady. Still have not received any receipt of transaction. At least I have record of wiring the amount. Also; reception had no record/information of our reservation. Lastly; parking gate control stopped working. Otherwise; comfortable place with a beautiful seaside view.

    This is a beautiful city with a great beach area.

    This is a beautiful city with a great beach area. During my visit it was not crowded and a bit cool. I spent a lot of time just watching the ocean crash against the rock out-cropping. I love ceviche and I had some delicious meals in Vina.

    I have much better expectation.

    I have much better expectation. NIce seea, cold water (htat I knew)... but the city is not very nice, very little things to do. I think it is overvaluer becouse it very close to Santiago, so local people pay sort of "convenience". But is the worst beach place I've ever been And I am in my 60s, especially in VFM

    Vina del Mar was lovely we enjoyed it very much. The choice of restaurants was superb and we ate very well during our stay. The beaches are good but the riptide is strong so be aware Easy to het round via Uber and the buses too

    Check in took ages and we had to ask for additional staff. The gym was excellent, although the outside pool was closed due to the weather. The location is not great though unless you want to stay in the hotel. It is a long walk to any shops or bars and the hotel bar is not cheap. The pavement from the hotel into Vina Del Mar is currently closed and walking the one narrow side that is open is impossible with people walking the other way. we wouldn’t go back but if you want to stay in the hotel then it may be a good choice!

    This is a fabulous family run hotel in the central area of viña del mar. The staff are all incredibly kind and attentive. We stayed during our honeymoon travels and they left us with a special message and glass of champagne to celebrate. Incredibly sweet extra touch was appreciated. The breakfast is very good and well organised. They even did some laundry for us. Overall a very friendly and welcoming stay, would stay again!

    It's a faily new, well-appointed hotel in a great location practically on the waterfront. The staff are excellent, the breakfast is extensive. The rooms are quiet with a desk, good lighting and exterior blinds at night. The gym and rooftop bar have nice sea views.
