The view from the room across the hills to the mountains was fantastic. The serenity, when the only thing you hear is the core bells and the birds is so relaxing Only a couple minute walk to the chair life to get up the mountain for hiking or skiing or a nice hike down the mountain to the lake The staff were so friendly, helpful and accommodating

Everything is perfect. Beautiful mountain view from the balcony. Quiet and peaceful unit. Clean and complete. We were satisfied to be able to cook with enough equipment. Excellent insulation we didn't feel cold at night. The host is very attentive and helpful. Easy check-in and check-out. Free parking and mini market nearby.

This apartment is a real gem. We didn’t expect it to be this great! Super clean, very comfortable, and you could find here everything you could possibly need, even binoculars which was surprising and lovely! But most importantly - THE VIEW!!!!! that was literally insane. It is definitely the best apartment for views in Amden, you get the whole scenery. And also, Swiss people are so nice and helpful, we loved our vacation in this country. We will visit this place next year as well and for sure choose this apartment again. 100/100 ❤️

Great apartment with a fantastic view of the mountains, a short 5 min walk into the town centre. Good large kitchen with all the facilities and a great balcony to enjoy the view. Will definitely go back if we can.

    beautiful secluded area in the middle of Switzerland, that is 1 hour away from Zurich and 1 hour away from St. Gallen and Appenzel. in 10 min you are in Weesen at the shores of Weesensee (a beautiful and tranquil lake between two mountains (no wonder the area is call the fiord of Switzerland). it is a great area for hiking, watersports, and just relaxation.

    A mountain farm village with wonderful Alpine views.

    A mountain farm village with wonderful Alpine views. Very family oriented offering skiing in Winter and hiking in Summer and Autumn. Many travel there from Zürich in winter to escape the gray and find the sun. Slopes there are perfect for beginners and the Ski School is very good and uncomplicated

    There are great medium and easy slopes and tons of dining options for the small area. The walk around the lake was beautiful, we loved our stay at Hotel Sonne, and the ski rental was very easy. We had delicious Thai food in Weesen and great drinks on the mountain.

    As a village Amden itself does not have a center where there...

    As a village Amden itself does not have a center where there are usually shops, restaurants. The main street leads to the lake or further up to the mountains. There are though many hiking paths and ski slopes nearby.

    I love Amden!

    I love Amden! I pretty much go there many weekends since it's so close to Zürich and easy to get to. There's tons to do here - hiking trails such as Leistchamm / Mattstock, awesome restaurants such as Holzstübli with their yummy chäshörnli, lovely locals, etc. Tons of scenic Swiss countryside and moo moo cows everywhere.

    Amden is a stunning town we were up quite high on the mountain but it was so worth the drive. Incredible views and trail walks to discover. It is a 10 minute drive to the closest shops which had pretty much everything we needed. You definitely need a car to get around otherwise the bus is easy to catch and somewhat reasonable. Grocery store, bakery, cafes etc. Very homely and colourful. Love the outdoor balcony. Daniel was very accommodating, nice guy. We felt like a true local in this quiet little slice of heaven.

    We have stayed in Amden several times, but this apartment was the best. It was clean, spacious, and very well equipped — so many thoughtful and useful details that made our stay very comfortable. The location is absolutely perfect: right in the center, close to the supermarket and the swimming pool, yet in a quiet and peaceful area. Highly recommended!

    Very nice and clean apartment with two big rooms/bed rooms and one small bed room, contains all what one need for staying there. Also the kitchen is well equipped. But what is extraordinary is a view from a balcony. We spent all our evenings there with a bottle of wine and enjoed it... It is situated very close to the center of Amden.
