Perth is a small hamlet about 1 hr from our Capital of Ottawa. about 4+ hour from Toronto . for the most part cottage country with many lakes around the area. Perth is a typical north American town it is has most of its original buildings and nice wide roads. All the people we came into contact with were extremely polite and friendly(like most Canadians). Perth is quite small and can be covered in a day or two but is well situated for Ottawa and other places of interest. Also the location is pretty good: We stayed there for the night before continuing to Ottawa the next day. Tay Inn is right across a gas station and a Tim Hortons, and there are other places to eat nearby within walking distance. The staff was very friendly.
