Really not a very thriving city it seems - all the taxi drivers said the same thing. The economy is poor and the costs are high. Looks like it has a lot of empty commercial properties and yet there are individual islands of attraction - the Capitol theatre, the Museum, the River Park with the possibility of renting electric scooters and some nice cafes.Guest review byDDFAUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Took a taxi from the airport to my accommodation. What should have been a $17 to $20 charge cost me over $35.00. I missed visiting some places because there were no busses on Good Friday or Easter Sunday. I would have taken a city bus between the airport and my hotel but the nearest bus stop was to far to walk with my luggage. The Maritime Bus left a few minutes before my scheduled arrival time, so I could not take it. Daily bus service would be a big improvement. Lovely one bedroom apartment with comfortable bed, a lovely bathroom with amenities, kitchen and sitting/TV room. Laundry facilities in bathroom, on site parking (fee per night), and hotel is nicely located in downtown Moncton. Dark and quiet so an excellent sleep YET you are downtown. Easy to use temperature controls + could open windows if desired. Even a private balcony though too cool + wet to sit outside when we were there.
