Great find!
Great find! The history, atmosphere, beaches, shops and restaurants were great. The local people are lovely too (all except a grumpy art gallery owner!) Make sure to walk down to the level below - we luckily found it by chance but the external fort walls along the edge of the town is a wonderful, vibrant line of beach side restaurants! Sozopol is a lovely place for young people who want to relax from the busy daily life, as well as for couples with children. There are lovely beaches within walking distance. The beaches offer areas with umbrellas/sunbeds, as well as designated free areas for individuals to set up their beach equipment. There is a food market offering fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as numerous restaurants serving fresh seafood from the nearby sea farms. Great town, with different parts, suitable for many kinds of peple, child friendly. Very relaxed atmosphere. Nice people everywhere. Great food. Great bars. Live music. It is nice place.
It is nice place. The old town all the small restourants and places. The new part offers a lot of night life, so it is currently the best of two places. I you just want to have fun on the beach stroll lazily in the evenning and have calm cool dinner, or have a blast of a party. There is wide choices of food and beverages, for a week a 2 person stay can be about 1000 -1500 euro, if you allow yourself anything, if you are on a budget it can easily be 500 euro. I hope they don't follow the bad example of Sunny beach and keep it as it is now, or they will lose the spirit and the history feel of the town.Guest review byTeodor StefanovBulgaria - 8.0
Sozopol is a ten minute drive away.
Sozopol is a ten minute drive away. Nice old town but the rest is rubbish. The old town can be explored in a few hours. Nice architecture and old ruins along with defensive walls dotted around certain parts of the town. Sozopol is one of the gems of Bulgarian seaside as it offers vibrant scenery with plenty of restaurants and bars right on the beach. The Old Town is interesting to visit. Unfortunately, with me staying there two years in a row, I could never recommend the sea - it is never calm with huge waves and totally unsuited for young children. Just 10 minutes away at Chernomorets and Golden Fish Camping, the sea is much better and cleaner.Guest review byAleksandarBulgaria
