Absolutely stunning place to stay! The room is beautiful, we had access to the balcony. The bed, although it was two twin beds together, had one big mattress on top, which was super comfortable, the bed was huge. Best sleep in Bulgaria guaranteed! The garden with a stream made the atmosphere of the place magical. The staff was very friendly. Beautiful surroundings as well!

Perfect location for a mountain hike.The private house we had was very nice,new,clean,with confortable beds and pleanty of hot water in the shower. We had a nice terrace also and we enjoyed the mountain view. The host was very helpful and and kind. I would recomend this place to my friends and we will come again!

Absolutely lovely host. She was awesome!!! Starting from the first conversation on the phone, then the check-in, the whole attitude during our stay… I travel a lot, but she was really exceptional. I love to meet such people. The house was also lovely. You can feel even the small details like flowers or pictures here and there. Very very cozy place. The breakfast that our hostess did was also super tasty and she made much more than we expected. She even heard that my girlfriend is not sure what exactly she want and even though we ordered just one thing, the hostess made both, so we don’t need to choose. It was quiet, not far from the center and I could park my car in front of the house. So all we needed was great.

This guest house was beyond our expectations. it was very clean, traditional settings, super comfortable, quiet location yet very central. it had all facilities for cooking, staying out of the room on a beautiful veranda and also a dining room. a gem that we recommend strongly. The host was generous offering coffee and tea and very welcoming.

This was an outstanding stay for our holiday! The villa was even better than the photos and the details with which it is made are extraordinary. Everything about this villa is made for comfort. Great bedrooms and bathrooms, living room with a fire place and the best garden you can imagine with roses, barbeque and a large table where our group enjoyed beautiful dinners and breakfasts in the summer. The garden has a second fully equipped kitchen, a wall TV, relax area, and garden lights for the best experience. Savi, who managed our stay, was the most amazing host. She was responsive, helpful, and made sure we are well taken care of. From giving us useful tips and information about food, parking, and experiences in the Rose Valley to preparing the villa for us with all supplies we could need, she made our stay truly exceptional. Kalofer is a beautiful authentic small town with rich history and the friendliest of people. It is located in the heart of the Rose Valley and I recommend it to anyone who considers visiting. We would love to come back!

It is good to enjoy a calm local town in the center of Bulgaria. The owner is very kind. They have two cute cats in the garden. The room is clean and tidy.

    Visited for hiking to Balkan Mts, Botev Peak. Enjoyed our stay and the mountain. Imposing Socialist monument at the centre of the town. Nice restaurant at the very center. Nice draft beer and nice surrounding. Other restaurants of Kalofer were closed at the afternoon. We were surprised with the road network of Bulgaria which is in very good condition. Make sure you pay the appropriate vignette online before entering the country by car.

    We were in Kalofer during the regional rose festival.

    We were in Kalofer during the regional rose festival. Lots of festivities and people dancing in traditional dress. The museum of bobbin lace was quite interesting. The old school house has also been turned into a museum. Lovely revival style architecture.

    I think tourists outside of Bulgaria should come prepared...

    I think tourists outside of Bulgaria should come prepared with all the information they need about the hikings and siteseeing in Kalofer. We had a bit of trouble managing as we relied on local tourist information center but could'nt find it. Local people were extremely nice, but some didn't speak English. The Balkan park is stunning but roads are rough if you're not in a high 4×4, and trails are lacking signs in English.

    This was our unforseen 2'nd stay in Kalofer, and we immediately knew we wanted to stay here again. The owner is very lovely and very helpful. Even though not speaking english, with a translating app on voice to text handy, that was no problem. The owner seemed very used to that. Which is quiet rare here in the countryside. Good value for money, and would stay here again.

    Very cozy and calm place with a nice garden and friendly staff! We had a delicious traditional Bulgarian breakfast (we could choose from a whole array of breakfasts) and the host even drove us to the base of the mountain and the train station. Definitely will visit again!

    Beautiful, newly built large home keeping the Bulgarian Renaissance architectural spirit. Gorgeous, cozy, spacious, sun-lit rooms with comfortable beds, balcony, great WiFi and exceptionally clean bathroom. The community kitchen was also beautiful and comfortable.
