Kortrijk is a nice place.
Kortrijk is a nice place. There are meny things to see in Belgium. Wonderfully preserved buildings from the past and wonderfull nature. I have also visited Gent and Brügge. I would say everybody interested in the european history must visit these sities. I had wonderfull experience there. The belgians are very polite,very nice people. Kortrijk exceeded our expectations, its a very interesting...
Kortrijk exceeded our expectations, its a very interesting place full of Belgian (Flanders) and European history, including the "Battle of the Golden Spurs" (1302) and a flourishing textile (flax) industry that rivaled the wool industry in Brugge in the Middle Ages and continues today. Don't miss the Textile Museum and the free high-tech video presentation at the Church of Our Lady for the history of the battle between the French and Flemish. Kortrijk has many place to stay and eat at a wide range of reasonable prices. The town is very walkable to all tourist attractions.Guest review byCharlesBelgium - 8.0

Nice city with a few interesting sites and museums. Convenient train station and very walkable. Attractive setting. We particularly enjoyed the Textile Museum and walking along the river thrush the city. We were there because of info day at Howest University.
We were there because of info day at Howest University. My son was in Kjortrijk for one week last year (as an exchange stay of high school - which has been going there more then 30 years). A shame that there are so many works in the streets.
A shame that there are so many works in the streets. I recommend the 1302, beguinage, the other small beguinage and the walk around the river. What is definitely not good is that all covered parkings at the city centre close at 2:00 am.Guest review byClar1963Belgium

But it only takes 10 minutes to walk into the lovely town of Kortrijk. The single room is very basic and the window can't be opened. Bathroom also basic and a bit tired looking. Only one pillow. The check-in is very smooth using the code and automated key-collection. Also I was able to check-in to my room at 1.30pm which was an advantage. It is located in the very heart of Kortrijk, so you are close to everything. At night it is quiet and during the day you have plenty of options to visit.
