Not great shops in bridgetown unless you want souvenir's, Holetown place to go but more expensive. Bridgetown is an interesting town with some history. Rhianna Drive is worth a visit and there is a nice little bar right opposite the house she was brought up in. My studio apartment/hotel was in Hastings, a suburb about 3 miles south of Bridgetown. EXCELLENT location, across the street ("Hwy." 7) from a bus stop and beaches with 1.2 km. long boardwalk. Apartment very clean, adequate furnishings. Minuses: 1) temperamental TV remotes (nice neighbor assisted) 2) Office not manned, at least on my weekend; perhaps because mostly long-term residents?
