The hotel was exceptionally clean and was perfect for us for 2 night's stay.
It also included breakfast, which was quite simple yet tasty.

Lovely town, the people are friendly and helpful. We eat at the Service club, the meals there vary in quality. The Australia pub food was superb and huge! The little fish and chip shop near the Council Office is well worth the visit, the hamburgers we had were really good! Young is an excellent regional town. Great restaurants, cafes, shopping, wineries, scenery. Very friendly. Hussey's for breakfast was unrivalled. Elliotz for dinner was fantastic. The Salami Bros thin crust vegetarian pizza was the best I've ever had. The Grove Estate Winery was well worth the visit. Great service and terrific wines. Great winery area, the Hilltops region, with a great selection of wines, predominately Italian varieties. Recommend Freeman Wines, Ballinaclash and Grove Estate. Also if you love cherries, then visit Ballinaclash Winery around mid November and December and pick your own cherries. Great local pubs and club. A visit to Wilders Bakery is a big tick on our list, sit on the verandah and enjoy the view, take a drive to wombat and the Pub do a loop drive around to Harden an see the Silo Art. At this time of the year the Canola crops are a sight to see Dinner at the Australian Hotel is good huge meals served quickly cherry pie and ice cream yum. It was great having breakfast included so you didn't have to worry about bringing your own supplies. Breakfast was ample and some good basic choices of cereal, various breads and jams/honey. It would be our go to place if in Young again, as this is our 2nd time there and didn't disappoint. Easy parking outside the room.
