    I love Yeppoon!

    I love Yeppoon! It's relaxed and chilled with the right amount of restaurants, shopping and atmosphere. It's easy to drive/walk around the town, with all the local beaches great for swimming and strolling.

    Yeppoon is such a lovely, sleepy coastal town that harks back to a much slower pace of life. It is well set out, with easy access to everything. The only negative I would have is that we travelled up from Brisbane on a Monday and by the time we arrived in Yeppoon the eating places had all closed up until dinner service and it was hard to find somewhere to get something to eat. The locals didn't seem to understand that they could recommend a takeaway place. We did eventually get told about a fish and chip shop down the main shopping street and if you want really amazing fish and chips I totally recommend you go there, I can't remember the name of it but it is tucked in next to one of the pubs.

    Very pretty place.

    Very pretty place. I hadn't been there before and was surprised at the islands close to the mainland. Would have liked to have more time to visit more beaches and rocky sea shores. The Waterside restaurant had great food, although didn't like the ordering system via phone: the daily special wasn't easily found on the on-line menu. Bowls club had reasonable bistro as well.

    Yeppoon is a hidden treasure it is a beautiful place to visit and has access to several islands, when you want a place to snorkel or ride in a glass bottom boat forget Airley Beach it is overated and over priced,

    I have been to Yeppoon twice now and this has become my top favourite coastal town! Beautiful beach, perfect water temperature to swim, stunning lagoon by the ocean to swim and watch sunset at the same time.

    That my grandchildren live in Yeppoon :) So it was a...

    That my grandchildren live in Yeppoon :) So it was a wonderful position for us to meet at each others houses and walk to the beach. The town is full of great coffee shops and places to eat. Great Keppel is a wonderful outing, and the lagoon an amazing place for families.

    Love Yeppoon, our cabin was very old for the price $$ I paid. Bathroom needs alot of TLC, the whole unit needs an upgrade. I manage a caravan park and our cabins too are old and very clean/comfortable & value for money as we don't overprice. The unit was only worth $130 P/Night. Even the freezer needed defrosting as the fridge was not cold, I asked for the freezer to be defrosted. I will not be back and I will not refer Bayview to anyone. Very very disappointed.     We had a short stay at Ocean Park Retreat and we were absolutely blown away with how beautifully clean, comfortable and welcoming this place was. It was equipped with every need for a comfortable stay, had entertainment for the kids right down to the welcoming snacks and drinks. So well thought out and homely. We will be recommending this stay to all our friends and family travelling to Yeppoon and hope to return for a longer stay next time.

    The cabins are nicely spaced on the site and are surrounded by well kept manicured gardens. The pool is clean and inviting, the BBQ area has plenty of seating on a grassed area. The setting gives the feel of being in the bush but is only a few kilometres from central Yeppoon. Host’s Kathy and Michael were exceptional
