I love the Blue Mountains and I love Lithgow.
I love the Blue Mountains and I love Lithgow. As a regional town it is easy to get around and access things like the bank the railway station the supermarkets and sporting facilities like the modern indoor pool. As we visited in winter we experienced winter weather and while we could not see the three sisters on this occasion due to fog I know we will see them another visit. My significant other rated his three cups of coffee highly first at the sports/soccer field second at the shopping centre and third at the Fast Fox takeaway. A great location to use as a base to explore the wider region. Many historical sites and buildings made this a great trip for history enthusiasts. Local food was excellent. Will come again and spend longer exploring family history.Guest review byDebra - 8.0
It's a nice small town with very nice people.
It's a nice small town with very nice people. I liked the cool climate the most, and lack of crowds and traffic jams. The scenery was great. The location is a long way from Sydney though and not readily accessible. Stay on for a couple of nights after enjoying the Zig Zag...
Stay on for a couple of nights after enjoying the Zig Zag railway, to do a couple of hikes (we did the Lost City walking track), and also to visit some of the local attractions like the Blast Furnace and tour of Mt Piper power station.
