Outstanding accommodation, location brilliant, very very clean, spacious, well equipped, bed comfortable and a lovely welcome from Donna.

Great facilities. My kids especially loved the digging patch! We checked yesterday. This morning I was delighted to receive a phone from a lovely receptionist saying the cleaners found our naughty Snorlax who must’ve wanted to extend his stay and was hiding out in the cabin. The lady then advised me that I can send a prepaid envelope and they’ll send him back to us. His owner was most excited to hear this wonderful news. 10/10 recommend staying there.

A freshly renovated minders cottage with a nice verandah plus another granny flat. Perfect for 2 couples or a family. Has everything you need and is decorated exceptionally well. We had a great time and I wouldnt hesitate to stay again. Location is on the outskirts of lightning ridge about a 15 min walk.

I had a fantastic stay at the Holiday Hut in Lightning Ridge! Marija, the host, was incredibly kind and welcoming - she even had a small Christmas tree set up in my kitchen, which made everything feel so thoughtful and personal. The hut is brand new, beautifully furnished, and very well-equipped. There were chilled water bottles waiting for me, the kitchen had everything needed to prepare a simple meal, and the living area was cozy with a sofa, small TV, and, most importantly, air conditioning to keep cool in the Outback heat. The bedrooms were very comfortable, with great mattresses and plenty of pillows, and everything was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was modern and had a lovely and modern shower. You can tell Marija really put thought into ensuring her guests have the best experience possible. The location is peaceful but convenient - just a short walk to the supermarket and the local bowling club, which serves surprisingly good food for such a small town. Marija and her partner went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. We spent a few lovely hours on their terrace, and I learned so much about the area’s mining history. With their tips, I even found a few small opal chips, which made my visit even more exciting! For anyone wanting to channel their inner Indiana Jones and experience an authentic Outback adventure with some gemstone hunting, the Holiday Hut is the perfect place. Highly recommended!
