We were surprised by the amount of shops on the main street...
We were surprised by the amount of shops on the main street that had closed or shut down completely. Also hiring a car was very expensive so had to use public transport as an alternative. Also the Kalgoorlie Half day tour provided by the Kalgoorlie Tourist Office was very expensive at $400 per person and thus took the public transport bus on their circuit routes around Kalgoorlie and Boulder instead. The Irish Pub and Paddys Dining we found very good value for money and also pleasant.Guest review bypatrickAustralia - 10.0

We went to Lake Ballard Sculptures, Superpit, and the two mining museums. All interesting and informative. Loved the gold room with the historic gold samples. Sculptures were worth seeing and a great idea. Also cruised around Kalgoorlie - Boulder. Just absorbing the ambience of a historic mining town.Guest review byJoeAustralia - 8.0
What a great town to visit.
What a great town to visit. So many interesting tourist spots and the buildings around town were an absolute delight. The food was excellent in town. Very impressed. You definitely need a car to visit some spots however, the town itself has a lot to offer and is very walkable. Very interesting town. Great pubs. Lots of lovely old buildings. The Superpit lookout was closed when we were there which was disappointing but I have heard it is fascinating. Super pit tour, town museum and Haman's tourist mine excellent. Mt Charlotte- excellent trail with information boards . Beautiful bush land park with excellent picnic facilities and children's park. Very interesting tours and apart from the days travelling by The comfortable Prospector there and back I enjoyed three days in Kal with excellent trips I booked myself via Superpit Tours and the Tourist information where the staff there couldn’t have been more helpful! I commend Tim Moore for his fun and very knowledgeable tour of the Town Hall and later on the Tram Tour he appeared again at The Bolder Town Hall for another good talk. Greg on the Tram Tour also gave an impressive background to various places of interest and was an excellent tour guide. Then an outstanding guy called Wes was hilarious and full of info on the Superpit Tour and gave such an amazing insight into the KAL Mining Industry! Wide streets, no rubbish around and felt safe during the day but didn’t go out in the evenings as was travelling alone and happy to take it easy! Fav Tours were the Superpit, Tram Tour and Town Hall all excellent as described. I ate in the Plaza two nights and at the Fu Wan another good meal….easy to walk around as most shops are well shaded and for solo travellers a lovely experience as described.Guest review byAnneAustralia

Interesting location on the Main Street of Boulder and a short drive to the Kalgoorlie side. The double bed was comfortable but the single bed wasn’t really suitable for an adult. The pool looked very inviting. There were enough cooking appliances and utensils to make simple meals. Surprisingly quiet.
