I travelled to Port Welshpool Beach and walked along its long pier, Yarram, Leongatha and Wilson’s Promontory during my stay. The motel is a 5 minute walk to Foster but we drove as we were going to see a play put on by the local dramatic society, which was excellent. The town is lovely with vegetables and herbs growing in the nature strips and people can take what they want for free. We had a tasty meal at the hotel and watched some Netflix on the large TV in our room. Foster Exchange Hotel has good meals. Supermarket in town centre with all essentials. Various other shopping in town. Wilson Promontory only 55minute drive to Tidal River. Approximately 35minutes to Darby River, Waratah Bay or Walkerville Beaches. Many interesting bushwalking tracks in and around Wilsons Promontory with plenty of Wildlife and fresh air. A good base for exploring Wilsons Prom and surrounds. Foster was smaller than we expected but that was a plus as we like smaller places. A beautiful little town, you could say a hidden gem. Great shopping and food. Friendly locals who don't mind a chat. Beautiful parks and gardens around town. Excellent information centre.
