We were made to feel very welcome. The publican spent some time chatting to us about her family's heritage and connection to the town. It was indeed a boutique hotel.

The artesian spa and set up is almost new.

The artesian spa and set up is almost new. Very well equipped with friendly staff. Brilliant location on the banks of the Warrego River with cockatoos and other birds flying around. The information centre was helpful and I went to the railway history show. Covered the early days with bullock wagons, camels and finally trains to take wool to market as well as a passenger life line to other towns and Brisbane. A number of locals appear in the presentation.

The Cunnamulla fella, nice little town in outback QLD.

The Cunnamulla fella, nice little town in outback QLD. All these small towns have a story to tell and generally tell it well. More city folk (not that I'm from a city) should make every effort to visit or unique and interesting outback towns

This town often gets a bad name but we found the opposite.

This town often gets a bad name but we found the opposite. We were greeted with happy and very friendly people in every establishment we visited. We had great meals at the Warrego hotel and a fantastic breakfast at the Cunnamulla coffee shop. The bakery was pretty good too. The roses growing around the main street are so beautiful and it is quite a tidy town. Loved it.

The courtyard view is the beer garden and Pub toilets which became very loud and raucous for a few hours before midnight. It would be great accommodation for people who don’t go to bed early. The dining room was lovely and the three meals on offer(because of limited staff) were beautiful. I would go back for dinner but not to stay.

Cunnamulla is surprisingly charming for a little outback town. It's unfortunate the top tourist attraction, "All Aboard: Cunnamulla Off the Rails" is closing down, or perhaps has already. (I was fortunate to see one of the last performances of it.) It alone is worth the trip to this remote spot, if you like travelling. Even without it though, it's worth the long journey to see this town.

Cunnamulla is a small country town.

Cunnamulla is a small country town. It used to be more busy than it is now, as a lot of the properties have been bought out by larger companies, with associated decline of permanent population. There are a couple of pubs, a bowlo, an IGA, a couple of cafes and an information centre (which closed half an hour earlier than advertised, so we missed that, along with the displays they had inside).

The two bedroom unit connected to the hotel is spacious but a bit drab. The reception is located in the bottle shop and thermal water with a slight sulphurous smell comes out of the shower. The location in the middle of the town is good for walking everywhere.

The hotel had a lot of interesting features. The room was well equipped with added touches like bath robe and slippers. Dinner and drinks were served and were reasonably priced. The host was very friendly. All this made for a memorable stay.

An excellent hotel with a lot of character and wonderful staff. The menu at the restaurant is planned with care and well cooked. The rooms were arranged around beautiful plant filled courtyard.

Only a short (maybe 3mins) drive back into town to go to the Hot springs & get some lunch & dinner as the hotel/pub attached to the motel is still closed undergoing renovations.
