Very comfortable cottage. The rooms were all good sizes, comfortable furniture, very comfy beds and the shower was really good. Had all the amenities you could ever need, whole place had a welcoming atmosphere. Over the road was a nice path down to the rocky foreshore.

The location was stunning- right between two different beach settings. We packed a picnic and spent the afternoon at the beach which is only a short lovely walk away through the bush. The house is quirky and interesting with a beautiful design and decor. The owners have thought about many of the details. Loved the wood stove, and the straw bale walls with all the little window nooks to sit and relax was heavenly. The provision of a few basic pantry items like sauces and seasonings was also much appreciated, as the island does not have many shops.

This was so far the most amazing place I have ever been in my life, in the world. The house is huge and has everything you need for the perfect stay. The fireplace made our night so cozy in a crispy winter night. We were surrounded by nature and wildlife. Kangaroos were literally eveywhere around the house, the kids could not stop staring at the windows. We feel so blessed to have booked this house.

    Barnes Bay is located 12 minutes from the ferry in a beautiful rural setting on the ocean although not too far from all the fantastic attractions the island has to offer. It's certainly a great place to stay for a holiday. Loved our time there although it wasn't long enough.

    Rob was a very communicative host.

    Rob was a very communicative host. The property was very clean, tidy and well equipped with aircon on when we arrived. Set in a beautiful, scenic and quiet area. Perfect as a base in which to explore bruny island. Ollie the dog was an unexpected delight.

    The property was beautifully positioned over looking barnes bay. A few steps and you were near the water. Very sheltered and peaceful. Close to the ferry. Nice to come back to after driving around bruny island. 15 minutes from get shucked oysters. Bonus for us !
