The hotel is perfectly connected to the airport through a tunnel. You can use the airport luggage carts, and the location couldn’t be better. The hotel staff are young, very kind, and cheerful people, always ready to help. The rooms are equipped with everything you need for a short stay. We stayed twice overnight between flights. The breakfast is plentiful and varied, and it’s definitely worth paying for. We also had dinner, which was very affordable, delicious, and even included a free drink. The hotel also offers free luggage storage after checkout. I sincerely recommend it! I will definitely use it again whenever I’m in a similar situation.

Near the airport, comfortable room. Very friendly and helpful staff! I was deeply impressed by the front desk agent Markus, who was fluent in many languages (Russian, Spanish) and with whom I could speak in my native language :) The service was very quick and flawless.

It was a lovely hotel very modern and our room had everything we needed and very clean. We only stayed one night as we were heading out of Vienna the following day. The hotel is literally a 2 min walk from the airport which was very convenient since we had an early morning flight. It also had the convenience of the city train literally at your doorstep.

Gateway to Coffee and Cake

Schwechat is a small city just inland from the lush southern banks of the Danube River and is home to Vienna International Airport. Fast trains, S-Bahn underground trains and buses connect the airport to the Austrian capital, so you can be enjoying coffee and cake in no time.

The A4 motorway links the airport to Vienna via Schwechat. Just off it is an oil refinery (one of the city’s main industries) which makes a much prettier sight than you might imagine when awash with bright lights at night. Nearby is the Schwechat Railway Museum and the Austrian Aviation Museum is also within the city.

The New Museum details the city’s heritage in a building overlooking Felmayergarten park. A few streets away is a river and another green space on the other side surrounds private Rothmühle Castle with its bulb-like towers. Kaiserebersdorf Castle is an even simpler structure and between them is the Schwechat Brewery which serves local beer alongside tasty delicacies.

In the countryside between the city centre and airport is a golf course, but despite all this, it’s the Schwechat accommodation that is the real draw. As well as airport hotels with shuttles, there are guest houses and apartments with parking that are cheaper alternatives to those in Vienna.

    Was our first trip and stay there. Hotel is not far from Places to visit in Vienna, Bratislava or Budapest as an example. For that matter Even getting to places in the Czech Republic are possible on public transportation.

    "Schwechat" is the name of the Vienna airport, as well as...

    "Schwechat" is the name of the Vienna airport, as well as the tiny community on the way to the airport as well as the district in which the airport is located. So I'm a bit confused as to why I'd review a place I only saw the name of which from the train? However, we did eat at "Wolfgang Puck" when we were in the airport on the day before our departure if that helps. It was good. Pricey (airport, hello!) but good.

    Overall very good stay. Staff awesome! The shower should have a door as water ends up all over the bathroom floor. Should have a place to get something to eat in the evening. Some repairs need to be done like bathroom outlet and shower light.

    There is not much to see here and our booking was...

    There is not much to see here and our booking was intentionally made here due to its proximity to the airport. If you have issues walking take a taxi. We took the train and walked around 1 km down past the OMV refinery complex and over the A4 to get there. Once we got there though it was a quaint little town or rather village. Streets were clean and flowers adorned may a window sill. Definitely my go-to place when I fly out of Vienna.

    We enjoyed our stay at Arion Airport Hotel! It is close to highway and Vienna International Airport, but still in a quiet neighborhood. The room was clean and big, with modern decoration and comfortable beds. Free parking is a plus. Delicious and varied breakfast included. Staff helpful if asked something. A 15 minutes walk from train station to city center.

    Perfect location for travellers departing on early flights from Vienna Airport. We checked-in for flights - luggage and boarding passes - in the evening and in the morning we just had coffee at the reception and we left hotel directly to security at the airport - 200-300 meters walk. So we woke up 1,5 hrs before our flight :-)

    This hotel is perfect in relation to the location of the airport; only a 300m walk. It's perfect for flights departing in the early morning. The hotel is convenient to rail transit to downtown Vienna; only about 20 minutes + direct. The proximity to the airport and trains to Vienna is second to none.
