Great authentic decor, the heritage from back in time when it was french embassy. We had luxury suite which was very nice. The only issue was a breakfast, menu ala carte, we were waiting for eggs 50min. in the end got them super oversalted, the acocado in the dish was also not eatable as it was not rape, I mean totally. Thank God we haven’t try their restaurant and choose another place accoding their advice by the way.

Where do I begin? I have stayed at many hotels in the past, but the service I was provided at the Grand Duka is honestly the best! This hotel ticks every box! Location-wise wise it is so close to everything! The Beach, Nightlife, Bars, & Restaurants were walking distance away (cabs to and from the hotel and bars were relatively cheap as well). The hotel is absolutely beautiful, it's modern, minimalistic, with a neutral tone that flows through the property. Rooms are just as impressive, they were so clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was great too- so many people asked me where I was staying! The spa & wellness centre was well-kept and very clean! All of the gym equipment worked properly, and they had a variety of machines to choose from. The spa facilities were a great way to relax (I spent a lot of time in there!) The restaurant and bar were great, and the breakfast menu had lots of variety to choose from! The dinner options were well-made and delicious! The bar and bar staff were great, providing great customer service & recommending drinks (my favourite was the Aperol Spritz!) The staff are some of the friendliest and helpful people I have come across when staying at a hotel - they greeted us with a smile every day, they made excursion recommendations for us to make the most of our holiday, and they would always ask if there was anything they could do to help! I would like to give a special shout-out to Anisa, the Marketing Manager; she was amazing, such a lovely lady, and super friendly! We were celebrating my Sister's 23rd birthday, she went over and above to help make sure it was special, assisting with getting special decorations, planning the surprise, and the cake! Honestly, Grand Duka was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had! If I ever find myself back in Durrës I know exactly where I'll be staying!

The staff was very welcoming. The manager is great, we were wondering about nearby cities to visit and places to see in Durres so he wrote a little list that would help us. The hotel is very clean and well managed. We needed an iron and the hotel didn’t have it when we arrived, but they bought one immediately the next day! Breakfast is buffet service with protein, cereals, breads, dairy and fruit! In the heart of the city, but no noise at all!!!

I really liked the hotel. Recently renovated, everything is very aesthetic, both in the room and in the corridors and at the reception. Everything is thought out down to the details. Aesthetes will definitely like it. Very friendly staff ready to help with any question you may have, which is very important, when you are in this area for the first time. Convenient location: there is a supermarket in the next building, opposite a bakery and pastry shop, the beach is within walking distance, although I liked the beach on the pier, it takes 15-20 minutes to walk, which is also not far. There are also a lot of restaurants, ice cream shops and other shops on the embankment. 30 minutes by car to the airport. I recommend.

The location was very good. We arrived by bus and left by ferry and both were super easily reachable just by foot. The market is just across the street and plenty of restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is nice. The bathroom was newly renovated. We had a balcony. The ladies working there were super sweet. They greeted us with some cold water. They chatted a bit with us in the evening. They gave us super nice breakfast and helped us find a way to the beach. They also allowed us to store our luggage there while we went to the beach for the day. In the end they even gave us some bakery items to take away. We communicated in a mix of English and Italian :)

When we had arrived to the Tirana airport at night the hotel responded to us very quickly and within 40 minutes or so we were going to the hotel itself. The trip was around 30 minutes. On yhe way back we also asked for taxi and had the same driver. The sdministrator accepted payment in usd and gave change in euros, which was great since it was night and euros are used everywhere here as well local currency The hotel is new. It makes a nice impression. The room was big and comfortable, the balcony was also ghere. The attitude from the hotel's staff was great. The breakfast had lots of things to choose from, cleaning was daily. It is around 7-10 to beach, shops and cafes are within 2 minutes And a huge thank for the administrator Klea who has helped a lot when we needed to communicate with people from cafe in Albanian. She tried her vest to make our rest comfortable, even asked about suggestions for breakfast (the next day we had it). She also speaks English which mafe communication easier Highly recommended this place!

The hotel has only been open in its current state for about 6 months. Very well designed and appointed. Bathroom was fabulous (despite yet again hair dryer on the wall with very short cord which irritates a tall person like me!). Bed extremely comfortable for me, I like firm mattress with a soft top. I drove to Durres and so choosing a hotel with parking available was important. There is some parking in front of the hotel and though I had trouble squeezing into the space, the hotel staff expertly got my car parked! The breakfast was one of the best I have had in hotels in this price range in Albania. Super helpful and friendly staff. Location was exceptional to the Roman ruins and the old town streets with plenty of restaurants as well as the shoreline.
