Words aren’t enough to describe this amazing place. We were welcomed in the evening by the property manager, Maradona Bebej. We had some traditional jam as a welcome snack and were shown our rooms. He then drove us to town for dinner and picked us up. He also gave us recommendations and so on. I have never met anyone as welcoming as Maradona and I can’t recommend this place enough! Loved the local breakfast too

Excellent hotel with great location. It is very clean and comfortable. I like the traditional decorative details and the wood work. It offers a true immersive experience into the Albanian culture. The staff is very welcoming and ready to answer any questions you have.

The hotel is beautiful. In fact, it had only been open for 3 weeks when we arrived. The lobby is very inviting with a very nice fireplace and decor. The rooms are very comfortable and upon check in we were greeted with a pitcher of flavored water and some nice drinks and snacks in the mini bar. Breakfast is great, with a selection of items including eggs cooked to order. The location is fine, but there is a hill to walk up in order to get to Old Town. The absolute best part of our stay, though, was Julie who does everything, from checking you in to cleaning the rooms, making breakfast, answering questions, etc. She is the best and the company is lucky to have her as such a great representative. We had a wonderful time!!

The place is beautiful, new modern building in the mountains with great views. Large rooms with nice bathroom. We had a family room with four beds and still there was lots of space. Everything was clean and we enjoyed the fresh breakfast from local products. The owner is super kind, he doesn´t speak English but we talked over the google translator and that was absolutely fine. He spent some time with us chatting over a beer and we learned a lot about the place. The place is memorable also because of the road you need to take to get there :-). We drove there during late evening, was already dark and the road in the mountains looked a bit scary, not dangerous but relatively long and stony up to the hill. We managed to get there with a small car and must admit it was part of the the nice experience.

This is new boutique hotel, only five months old, so everything is new and fresh. Our room was a good size and looked over the main street. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was well equipped with a minibar, kettle and ironing board and iron. The bathroom was also a good size with a large shower. Breakfast was a good selection and well presented. The staff were all very friendly, efficient and helpful with local travel information. The manager even walked us to a local restuarant he recommended that we really enjoyed. There is parking available and if you arrive by bus, the terminus is less than ten minutes walk away. It is about twenty minutes walk "uphill" to the castle but you can also take the local bus up which stops a few minutes away from the hotel.... We really enjoyed our two night stay here.

Martin (the owner) is an exceptional host..As soon as we arrived we were greeted with cold water and an expresso while Martin helped us park our car. Then he showed us to our room. The hotel is a newly renovated traditional Gjirokastra house. Everything says you are welcome. The rooms are restored to their original character while the bathroom and furniture add a contemporary touch. The linen were very neat and abundant. It is located very close to the Castle and Old Bazaar. In 5 min walk you will be in the center of everything Gjirokastra has to offer. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast at the common 3rd floor balcony with the view of the city. Traditional offerings were a nice addition to a very romantic experience. We will go there again next time we are in town.
